Joe Cortez just deliver the biggest blow against Marquez, unknowingly, he made the most damaging slapped to his face and his entire career.

RETIRE NOW JOE, LET REF LAWRENCE COLE DO THE JOB FOR YOU!:D

my question is what proof do we have that cortez really did not stop the fight to endear himself to mexican fighter? for all we know he could have just pulled that excuse from his ass to defend himself from those who say he is biased against mexican fighters.

we will never know what cortez was thinking at the exact moment. the thing is there was no 3 kd rule, he made the count as he should, jmm beat the count, so jmm should be allowed to continue.

biased or not biased, jmm beat the count and it was not a slow count or anything from cortez. he did not stop the fight because he did not have to. jmm was up before ten and that's all there is to it.

    it is really that simple.

PS no pac was not vindicated by this. if he was, it would have been published. he clearly wasnt that's why this issue is dead.

I he wasn't a friend of the Filipinos, he would've pulled a Montell Griffin on Pacquiao. I think we can close the thread.

You must be out of you freakin mind lol. Cortez was supposed to let J.M.M go. History tells us that every fighter who gets knocked down should be allowed to continue if he can show that he is not seriously hurt. Fighters have been down more than J.m.m in one round before. You have to expect this from Pac fanatics lol... Soriano is a Pac fanatic. He won't comment on Pac being ko'd twice, but he will write a post like this lol... Tell us about the long count Pac received after Hussein flattened his ass for a count longer than 10, and why PAc wasn't legally counted out lol...

Why don't you analyze what he said in that article? I suggest you read the article first or if you did, read it thouroughly as you can, because it is the basis of my arguments. The proof is his admission that he allowed Marquez continue when he was down 3 times. There were many instances when a boxer beat the time but the ref stopped the fight. If it is legit for him to allow Marquez continue, why should he belabor to tell all and sundry that he did so? What is his point? Does it mean that he has the option to do it but he did not? What is his purpose in telling us this? Is it because Marquez accused him as being enemies of Mexican boxers? Is he telling this to dispel the notion that he dislikes Mexican boxers? And in doing so to defend, did he show his bias for Marquez or the Mexican boxers in general. I have nothing against Marquez nor the Mexican boxers. I am questioning the motive of Cortez for this late revelation.

Pac was vindicated as the real winner in this fight, not a draw, with this belated revelation from Cortez, let alone the glaring error of the judge that was not rectified. Pac indeed has beaten Marquez twice. That's my conclusion here.

It's bad enough that you try and give Pacquiao the victory in the first fight, when he was outboxed in both fights. Manny just ain't as great as you think he is, champ.

Just because you can't counter my arguments, you resort to
    This content is protected
. It is you who should be banned.

Come on, let's have healthy discussions. Please don't bait us Pac fans to call you names too. This is about boxing, not us.
