PBF win over corrales puts him as one of the top 3 junior lightweights of all time...some say that no one can beat him head to head against other 130 greats with the performance in the corrales fight

Pac on the otherhand, move up in weight..was a 4-1 underdog and beat barrera who just fresh from schooling #3 p4p guy in hamed.

consider the perception on the people of how good corrales and barrera were at that time and the quality of opposition(last 2 years) they had faced prior.

    Corrales:
    - p4p top 5
    - had to trim down from 165 to 130 in six weeks
    - Angel Manfredy(TKO 3), Derrick Gainer(TKO 3), Roberto Garcia(TKO 7)

    Barrera
    - p4p top 4
    - training and managerial problems
    - K. Kelly(TKO4), E. Morales(UD), N. Hamed(UD), J. Tapia(UD)

Although I believe Barrera at that time was the better opposition, AND I think Corrales' head wasn't in the game, PBF's performance was perfect that night and he dismantled Corrales easily.

However, I don't nessecarily think it was a 'better' win that the win over Barrera for the reasons you stated Asero. Barrera had recently beaten feared puncher Hamed, and Pac was able to destroy him.

Corrales was also seen as P4P one of the biggest hitters in the game (his record was 33-0(30) at the time.

On second glance, seems like a PBF hate thread. I'm no Floyd fan, but a bit pointless really, anyways, hope everything in my post prior to this makes sense :good

PBF would school arguello at any weight
PBF would school duran at any weight except 135
PBF would beat Ike Williams at 135

    imo

pac came back from a slip that was wrongly ruled a KD in round 1 to control the fight in a devastating fashion

And I suppose Floyd beats Pryor at 140 too?

I'd like to know how PBF beats Arguello at SFW? Arguello famously struggled with boxers at times and would lack the handspeed advantage, but Floyd was also more aggresive at 130, Arguello less vulnerable than Corrales, and Floyd has NEVER (even know he has been up to 147) faced a better puncher than Arguello, who hits as hard P4P at 130 than say, Hatton at 147 or DLH at 154.

For the record, I say Floyd schools Arguello for seven or eight rounds, but Arguello waits, times Floyd to perfection (Arguello's handspeed deficiency was made up for by his brilliant timing and plotting) and hits Floyd with a combo that he cannot recover from.

Before you say it, I KNOW Floyd has a very, very good chin. So did lots of other fighters who Arguello faced. Pryor was given Flash KD's before, but no one EVER made his head fly back like Arguello did. That was at 140 when Arguello was past his best.

watch the marcel-arguello fight...arguello lacks footwork and had trouble with speedy boxers..pryor used his hand speed to wear down arguello in the second fight

fair enough comments asero, but it would not be a 'schooling' even if pbf did win
