He should make catchweight fights between top 135s and same for WWs.

i think it depends on how this fight goes, like most people i'm not sure the oscar fight gave manny a test of top level fighting in the welterweight division. If manny gets out-sized and out-muscled i'd expect him to move down to LW because there are a lot of fights there, otherwise he'll stick around and take on some belt holders at WW.

It will depend on his last fight... and only last one is coming after Hatton before he retires. He has so many option:

    After Hatton wins:
    1. Go to WW and find high valuable opponents (Cotto and Mosley, yes both of them want Pacquiao)
    2. Stay at LWW and give Marquez a chance (3 battles in 3 different weigth class! what more do you want?!)

    If Pacquiao loses to Hatton:
    1. Fight Marquez(either LWW or LW, but probably LW because Marquez will be holding a belt there)
    2. Ask Hatton for a rematch and agree on any purse. Win it, trilogy anyone?

Pac will never go back to LW. He just gave up his belt there. Seems Roach knew Pac isn't having hard time weighing 140+lbs rather than going back to 135lbs... And LW isn't much hot as it used to be.

Where ever the best money fights are going to be from 135-140, Paq will be there.

I still think he is going back to LW- reason he gave up belt is so he doesnt face mandatory - there are some big name fighters moving to LW who want to fight Pac

He'll go for another "name" fight. It's a shame really, these modern 'weight of a turd' differences in the divisions allow for this sort of nonsense. This is a big reason why the titles are so fractured. Pac and Hatton both have legit fights in their respective divisions, I've got no problem with the two of them fighting but what I do have a problem with is that you can guarantee neither of them are going to fight anybody unless it's mayweather or a making time fight against an obviously overmatched opponent.

i think if manny losses, he would rather have a rematch with hatton rather than fight JMM again...

Win or lose I think he'll retire after this fight. I mean getting a minimum12 million dollars as a paycheck is probably good enough for him. If he doesn't want to retire yet he should fight Mosley/Cotto. He'll probably fight someone with a big name. I wanna see him fight Valero (even though I think he get pwned by Manny) and JMM (to see who is actually better).

Pac may take a rest but he would not back down for big money fights ahead...so long as cotto and mosley are still there, he would fight them...who knows, he might even fight valero and ortiz two years from now

Pac will retire at the end of the year...I dont think he will go back at 135 for his last 2 fights. Roach said that Pac is really having a hard time making 135 in the Diaz fight.
