Klitschko's ultimatum to Haye

They need to remember that Klitschko is the champion and Haye is not a name at heavyweight yet. Hayemaker Promotions needs to see sense. Take the fight on their terms, knock him out then negotiate a handsome deal for the rematch, everyone happy.

 

True, but realistically Haye never deserved a shot at the title anyway. He's completely unproven at heavyweight yet seems to have jumped the pecking order simply by calling the Klitschkos out. In such a situation he should be happy to accept whatever they offer him.

 

Im inclined to agree. Haye seemed desperate for this fight as he was so sure he will knock Klitschko out, than whats the problem. It should be easy work for him. He is lucky to be getting a title shot anyway, the man has to be realistic he only had 2 fights at heavyweight, and his best for was Monte Barrett

 

The problem though is that Haye has his own promotional company which he is trying to get established, he is obviously the biggest name in his own stable and if he signs away the rights to his next three fights to K2 where does that leave Hayemaker promotions?
That in my opinion is what is underlying the dispute. Not 'who's scared of who'

The Wlad camp does not have a reputation to offer bad deals. In fact, they have, unlike Don king and Bob Arum, been quite easy to negotiate with.

I am pretty sure the deal set out is pretty acceptable and that the problem is more about the Haye camp overestimating their market value. It is back in line for Haye if he does not accept it. No problem for Wlad, he will go forward and fight Areola.

That states that Haye/Booth have agreed to 3 fights with the Klitschko's, Booth has stated that K2 want options on Haye for three fights against oppoents of their choosing.

 

since when has anyone whos deserved a shot at a world title actually got one!??

Example: Joan Guzman never EVER fought at 135 but straight away was ranked No.1 and had a shot at Campbell.

There are other examples too that anyone of you could think of.

At least Haye has fought twice with two ranked opponents and KO'd them.

I suppose Rahman deserved his shot? and same with Drummond or whoever Chagaev is fighting.

We all know boxing doesn't work like that in this day and age. So lets get real. This fight is hot property as some1 is gettin KTFO!

 

its a good deal for haye cause he is getting some of the biggest names on his resume

regardless if they want 3 more fights off him afterwards..

 

This is why boxing needs a universal regulataory system like football have FIFA.

Were the all the major boxing orgs, promotions, different orgs in each country and all boxers and trainers can come to and have conferences togeather on how to make matchmaking easier, have a universal boxing rules on defending your belts, unifications, promotions rules etc like banning options on othe fighters if u figh them etc.

 

But if he has three fights promoted by K2 afterwards then that is three fights where Haye is not promoting himself which means three shows put on by Hayemaker promotions without their headliner, which likely means three flop shows which means failing promotional company which means massive debt which means recievership and so on and so on ad so on. There's more to it than resume.

 

from the looks of how these negotiations have been going Hayemaker Promotions does not know what the hell they are doing. They screwed things up so bad they had to run and get Golden Boy to come in and try to salvage the fight.
