Thats rather easy to say when no one wanted to give the man a fight...The point I was trying to make is how could you possibly come up with this conclusion if the man cant get any fights? So now am a fatass who sits and watches boxing lol...Nope, I gotten in the ring more then you have watched actual fights I bet. I picked against Shane cause of his age and how he looked against mayorga the previous fight and how Margo looked in his with Cotto. Any person would had thought the same thing. ok OK "newbie" talking now lol. i just got here and im seeing all this cotto clottey ****. let me start by saying im a Cotto fan. we got that out cool. OK i have personally seen both fighters and the clottey being bigger n stronger is BS and big BS. i saw both of them n cotto look even wider with broad shoulders compared to clottey maybe that was just me. almost same height we all know that the statistics the give us r not always accurate i saw them at the same level. both fighters are great fighters no degrading towards either one. both have solid wins against solid conteders. the only similarity they have in their record is the loss to margacheato. im not saying he DID cheat but come on guys see the fight again and then see the mosley and even the clottey fight who wouldnt crumble against those bricks bashing ur face nose stomach mouth, i kno i would but he lasted through that until the eleventh round and of the other ten rounds i had him winnin 6rnds to 4 rnds. anyways i admit clottey was dominating margo in his fight too bad he hurt his hand woulve put him wer he should be. but we all kno that margos boxing skills without bricks suck ask shane and paulsee those fights n tell me if he is wearing them i have the fights btw. im not overrating cotto nor underrating clottey. if that fight happens it will be a super go for broke fight for both. and i have to give the edge to my man cotto. his chin that was 140 , trying to make weight can cause serious damage or even gaining weight ask kelly or cintron. cotto has the will the stamina the power the speed n although his defense is still questioned by many i say he has a good one, but dont complain even then his defense makes up for great fights dont you think. clottey i hate to say it is too defensive he will give anyone problems with his style of defense his underrated speed n his chin. i believe in this, if cotto goes to the body early clottey will start to crumble. he is not margo thats the only thing margo had besides bricks pressure. clottey is not a fighter that pressures enough. he will accumulate a lot of punches to the body n then some. i admit cotto will be hit nontheless but not as much as to make him quit. wat he did in the margo fight was intelligent for his health. this fight wont be easy for neither fighter but i expect a cotto win by UD or late TKO. the experience will be a factor here also above all it will be a great fight to see , 116-112, 115-113, 116-112 Cotto. latrz
I just see Clottey being like a poor version of Mosley. He can take punches and is fast and strong. But with much less power and less offensive arsenal. The only thing he got is his defense, but with his lack of offense I don't see how that will help.
dude there were actually ppl on here that thought jennings or gomez had realistic chances to beat cotto, ppl argue for the sake of hyping or hating on fighters
