if mosley losses to cotto, calzaghe bumps him in 3rd and i believe that mosley is not top 100 material anymore

 

Fair points.I still would have Mosley above Wright but not a few notches like he said.Would you rate Winky higher than Mosley right now based on what the two have acheived,bearing in mind Winky has 2 wins over Shane??

Wright has wins over Tito, Mosley twice, Quartey, a draw with Taylor in a fight he should have won, same with prime Vargas that could have gone either way, and lost a close but clear decision to Hopkins 4 divisions above his prime weight class.

Winky has a very underrated resmue he only lost when he was a green fighter and to top level champions. Winky fought the best at 154 and 160.

Wright's resmue is definately up there with these fighters. He is a proven ATG.

De La Hoya has simply achived more - he won ten world titles at six weights, he also clearly has a better resume than the rest of then.

 

The problem with Winky's resume is that Mosley/Trinidad were not at their best fighting weights when he beat them. I'm not saying that they weren't great perfromances though.

1. Oscar - fought everybody over 6 weight divisions (except Winky!) and won 10 world titles
2. Mosley - 3 weight champ, absolute beast at Lightweight, would have dominated 140lbs as well if he had fought there. Close with Trinidad but beats him to second due to the Margarito performance.
3. Tito - As with Mosley, he was a beast at his original weight (although very lucky in the ODLH fight) and moved up to 154lbs very well. Was unlucky to run into Hopkins at 160lbs because i think he could have beaten any other Middleweight at the time.
4. Calzaghe - 10 Year world champ with the best stamina and workrate of the lot and probably the best super-middle of all time (Roy didn't stay there long enough). His problem is that the division he dominated was a weak one and he only moved up in weight when the big guns were past their best (Hopkins was still a good win but RJJ fight was a shambles). Also took far too many nothing defences of the WBO trinket.
5. Winky - Same problem with Calzaghe in that Light-Middle has always been a weak division, plus his best wins were all against smaller guys (although he beat JT in my view). Masterful defensive boxer but this sometimes caused a problem as he would forget about his offence!

All 5 are HOF material.

Mosley and Trinidad have won the same number of world titles, in the same number of weight classes, but Trinidad made more succesful defences of his titles, and has the better resume.
