    Lineal Champ at 147.

At 140 no one wanted to fight him. Fought the best champ available.

he won the lineal champ by beating carlos baldomir :patsch

carlos baldomir's record 44 wins 12 loss 13 KO ... So much for being the lineal champion

Okay? He still beat the top dog of the division, you act like that means nothing? (Baldo beating Judah that is)

He fought for money and had no boxing experience before that, pretty good for a guy to start boxing for money then become the number 1 of a division.

Funny, besides Mosleys, no one in the top ten has become or even become close to being a lineal champion. (unless you count zab as being top 10)

At least they've by and large fought one another rather than fight Ricky Hatton.

Cotto, Margaritto, Williams and Clottey are more accomplished Welters than Floyds cherry picked title.

I for one look forward to Floyd coming back to do some real business at 147 against some live welters.

None of those guys have won the lineal title. All of those guys were active WW's before PBF was. Apparently, those guys aren't stepping up to the plate.

    Not impressive?
Let me guess, AM's resume is more impressive?

And what a scintillating lineal title fight that was - the one people were walking out of by the 10th.

He didn't defend that title against a welter and the rest of the guys who aren't stepping up to claim a lineal title that wasn't on a plate like it was for Floyd are actually fighting one another.

I have more respect for Zab's welter campaign than Floyds because he at least fought the top guys in his division.

All I ask from those who wish to impose how "great" they are with words, back it up with actions. DLH and Hatton fights don't achieve that in context of 147.

No one's putting up Margaritto as better - It's what Floyd did in terms of 147 lbs performances.

Bladomir and 3 140 lbs fighters in Mitchell, Judah and Hatton don't add up to much.

Judah was a very good fighter back then.

Hatton was the best at 140 and is the same size as PBF.

Mitchell isn't a notable opponent, plus he was past his prime. But it was a test for PBF cause he had just moved up.

DLH at the time was as good as Cotto, PW or AM. The DLH that fought PBF would've most likely beat Cotto, AM & PW back then. DLH was the toughest opponent available aside Cotto.
