Dude, Casitllo was able to stop him at lightweight. Floyd dropped Chico 5 times. And you telling me the man you and others say comes in to fight around 170+ couldnt stop Chico. lol....Thats a dam joke. Clottey is not a hard hitter.

One punch wont do it. Especially from someone who dont hit hard. Nice try though. You had balls to say it with your very first post here.:hi:

Would you not agree that if someone hit you and they broke your jaw, that they in fact hit you hard?

Mosley also went the distance with David Estada and Jose Louis Cruz during that time period.

Breaking someone's jaw doesn't necessarily have to be a function of punching power. It's not exactly the hardest thing to do if you deck your opponent in their jaw while their mouth is open.

Eric Harding, known as a light punching light heavyweight, broke Antonio Tarver's jaw in their first fight and no one claimed him as a big puncher afterward because's he's not, and neither is Clottey.

When was the last time Clottey faded late a fight? We know Cotto did two fights ago

These opponents you speak of couldn't take a punch and/or weren't very good defensive fighters. Clottey can take a punch and he is a good defensive fighter.

Clottey is the better defensive fighter, has the better chin, hasn't been down in years, and hasn't even been hurt in years. Cotto has been down 3 times, has been stopped, has been hurt several times in recent fights and has holes in his defense.

This is kind of like the Mayweather/Hatton fight. Mayweather wasn't a big puncher and his output wasn't high. However, he was a much better defensive fighter and had a proven chin. Hatton was the bigger puncher, but had a lot of holes in his defense. I told everyone back then that Mayweather had the better chance of recording a stoppage and got a similar reaction to the one I'm getting from you.

Yes, Clottey is not a big puncher. Yes, Cotto is a big puncher. However, if Cotto is not able hit Clottey clean that often and if Clottey is hitting Cotto clean with much more frequency, then who has the better shot at recording a stoppage?

No, neither is a big puncher. However, both clearly have the ability to hurt their opponent. Corely doesn't hit as hard as Clottey and he had Cotto on ***** street. Clottey has blunt force power, not 1 punch KO power. His punches will cut and swell up your face even if it doesn't result in a KO.

Good fight for the fans... But Arum would be a fool to risk it right now!

Point is, there's a reasonable chance Cotto could loose that fight IMO. And if he does, his career is really gonna take it on the chin this time. Why risk it?

He should defend his title vs a decent but beatable guy and wait for the winner of Pac/Hatton... both who I think he could beat.

Or fight Berto... or maybe even Mosley... It's just not worth the risk to face Clottey right now.
