appreciate the reply, my "what do you bring " didnt mean to a forum or as a fan, i already said you give some/a lot of good reading. I meant to the tv and fightnights. I aint gonna ***** a guy thats not only making a bill or headlining but is doing so out of the total lack of solid shows in Scotland. I know where you are coming from too. No, a title etc makes a difference, good or bad perhaps. Since Khan , he has in my opinion , gone down hill. Not his fault , as far as i know. You have made it clear you dont like the WBU since day 1 and im glad u arent like many that turn 180 and lick a pro's **** when he comes in. Not that my opinion matters to you am sure.

I agree wholesomely regarding what the WBU is to some extent. Its been cheapened by cheap practicions if you will. I aint as knowledgable on this and maybe boxing compared to say , yourself but i know selling.

Willies way better than a WBU title fight as you just said. This is my point. Do you think he dosent know this ? Exactly Thankyou. The boys gone and done something as he got no one behind him and all he did was beat Khan......yes its the first time i have said this on the forums as i know the flack or the dick dribble that follows.

You are already helping the cause and hype with your disregard for such a title. The lack of many argueing or agreeing or saying nay, maybe backs up ma reasoning.

This is **** news for Willie, regardless of what you think of the WBU or any other of the belts that infest boxing these days, he needs to be fighting on a regular basis, and we should be enjoying his boxing skills. He is a class operator who deserves much, much better...its not as though he isn't trying. We should be encouraging men like Limond and not brick batting them at every opportunity, I'm gutted for the lad.

lee mcalister. infact the only good thing i could see coming from the wbu is setting up a fight with mcallister could come of as he used to hold it. that would be a big fight in scotland, would sell allot of tickets and maybe get on tv in scotland. i doubt he is on weight to do it saturuday. but surley willie could of made this fight before, it could be for the scotish title and double as a British title eliminator.

the thing is mcallister got the **** taken out of him every time his name is mentioned on here because of the wbu, and that would start to happen to willie.

i wasnt big on boxing when hatton was fighting for the wbu, but you must have noticed im not hattons biggest fan. the whole 15 fight reign was a **** take, whats more off a **** take is that hatton tells people he is a 7 times world champion including the wbu. when i look at everything great hatton has done, i also see 15 wbu title defences and it tarnishes a great career.

 

i am a boxing fan, i care about my fellow fans more than i do about boxers or proboters. id rather see the fans getting value for money than the boxers, promoters and tv companys getting extra cash. i think pro boxers opinions are to respected on this forum, no doubt they should be but the same as any fan. one of the guys you would listen to most is steve bunce who after all is just a fan like me.

glad you replied, i aint heard Hatton quote 7 though i know what you mean. I meant also regarding Lee, he was there but no. He will probably make more on his TBA bill at home in March and fair play though i reckon he would want it, the fight that is. I maybe think out aloud there.

Anyways,i could pick holes or try to find something regarding "i wasnt big on boxing" etc regarding Hatton, i dont judge less or more with this. Considering he was massive at the time and carrying such a said mantle is amusing to me though, with what you say.

This is ****ing **** for Willie, we all agree the wbu is a **** title but when was the last time willie was made a mandatory for say the british or even the celtic?, i dont think he has since he was in with arthur so what 5/6 years ago and he only has one loss since then against khan, if you ask me the board should be telling murray to defend against limond and i'm sure willie would jump at the chance to fight for the british over the wbu, or what about thaxton for the euro.

Nah, fair play with your regards to fellow followers and Bunce. You are forward enough in your opinion on the WBU and a fighters reasoning regarding fighting for it, Uni sparring i didnt expect. I wont lower,mock,joke and all the rest but you aint seeing it from a fighters point of view ( i appreciate your honesty btw ) and much of what you say forthright can and may be, disregarded.

Theres only so much a very seasoned internet forum poster can divulge.

im only 22 so the hatton wbu era was a bit before my time. i didnt have sky until 2004.

 

Well when you get to Willies age and have done in the last year ( and had a solid enough career ) what he has done and awaited on, you might have a different opinion on a WBU bout/fightnight you are promoting and headlining yourself.
