NEWBIE YOUR TALKIN OUT YOUR A$$...IM NOT TALKIN BOUT FLOYD AS A WHOLE CAREER..IM TALKIN BOUT HIM AT 130...HERNANDEZ AT 130 WAS UNDEFEATED WHEN FLOYD FOUGHT HIM-HIS LONE LOSS CAME AT 135:deal

FLOYD FOUGHT MANFREDY AT 130 WHO AT THE TIME WAS VERY HOT AND HADN'T LOST SINCE HIS 5TH CAREER FIGHT IN 1994

HIS WIN OVER CORRALES WAS OVER AN UNDEFEATED 33-0 #5 LB 4 LB CORRALES SMASHES PAC'S OPPONENTS...MARQUEZ MAYBE IN THE 2ND FIGHT COULD BE COMPARED AT BEST!

JESUS AND HERNANDEZ WERE BOTH TOUGH OPPONENTS...IN THE HERNDANDEZ FIGHT FLOYD FOUGHT WITH 2 HURT HANDS AND STILL WON THUS SHOWING HIS VERSATILITY!!

ALSO HE WAS CALLING FOR CASSAMAYOR AT THAT TIME TOO! CASSAMAYOR WANTED NO PARTS!

27-0 WHILE FIGHTING THE BEST 130 HAD TO OFFER...YES HE HAD A BETTER RESUME AT 130 THAN PAC..

PAC NEVER EVEN CAPTURED THE TITLE TILL HE FOUGHT MARQUEZ LAST YEAR...ALL THE TITLES WERE INTERNATIONAL TITLES!!! FLOYD CAPTURED IT 2 YEARS AFTER TURNING PRO AND DEFENDED IT 8 TIMES!!!

I think the thread title has been disproved now.

The people on here who only care about sucking on Floyds balls like they were candy have elevated Floyd to now having a superior resume to Duran, to being basically the a top ten ATG welterweight based on fights with Carlos Baldomir, Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah and Ricky Hatton, accused anyone of an actual threataning size ala a Paul Williams as picking on a "smaller fighter" if they fought him at 154 unless he fights Pacquiao because he's only 2" shorter he is therefore not a smaller size and we now are comparing Oscar De La Hoya's resume against Floyds in a post and then caps posting
    when given this to discuss:

Apparently Floyd has lost no respect around here, he is now a golden god with a slew of false prophets ready to tell you that any question of his resume is "hate".

For example: I actually consider myself a huge Floyd Mayweather Jnr fan: But because I question his achievements that in any logical level headed approach to his post 135 career can only be viewed as favouring his bank balance over his legacy - I actually want to see the fighter with the best skills of his generation solve the puzzle of Paul Williams, box Miguell Cotto, cut Margaritto up like a salami in a deli and show Clottey how far away from Floyd he is skill wise.

However, it seems that Floyd can do no wrong and that any question, legitimate questions on his post 135 resume, can only lead me to completely disagree with Marnoff's post #333 in this thread - I think history will see him as talent that didn't live up to his potential in terms of ATG-ness.

He's a first ballot HoF - But he won't be making that many folks ATG lists based on the fact he had options, but chose to take on Hatton's over Margaritto, Cotto, Williams and other worthy welterweights.

I've always given the cat props on his boxing skills...but that's about it.

He doesn't take the fight to anyone...they always gotta take it to him.

That and the fact that he's an ******* makes 'emm nonrespectable.

and you presume that? i thought pbf won that fair and square, but when i say he eeked out an SD is simply stating a fact as to how the judges saw it. my comments are fair to the point. as to how he could have won it more convincingly, you and i know that he could have done better with all his vaunted skill set without taking away any respect he has for dlh.

:goodwere cool. i know he has a dismal record against atg man.

but the way he fought against a supposedly faster srl the first time was truly impressive for me and srl had his moments also its just that duran seems to have the better of the exchanges ala mab-em 3.

I'm not the racist here, you and the guys like you are the racist ones when you constantly root for specific fighters based on race and not style.

If I was racist towards the Mexicans you wouldn't have seen me hail fighters like Morales(an all-time favorite), Vasquez, Baby Bull Diaz, Rafael Marquez and Arreola(who I'm becoming a fan of, despite his weight issues).

The only Mexican fighters I will honestly admit I hate are three, Chavez Jr./Sr. and Margarito. My hate there is for a reason too as I don't support disrespectful liars like those, it has nothing to do with where they come from. You also said that I only support black boxers, can you explain to me why I'm the MOST that insults James Toney on these boards whenever he's mentioned?, of course you won't be able to explain anything because you know nothing.

Even Barrera, who I MIGHT seem like I dislike isn't a fighter I hate AT ALL, if anything you can find me praising Barrera more than criticizing him.

If I hated the Mexicans then I hate boxing, period. As Mexicans are one of few countries that truly represent the sport of boxing alongside Kazakhstan, Cuba, Russia and England(more on the soccer side, but boxing is alive and kicking there too).
