    If you are a Boxing Trainer, which "S" would you look in Boxers?

    Speed
    Skill
    Strength
    Stamina

    I think I'd go for speed first. I don't think you can develop speed as well as you can work on the other aspects. Not that I'm well versed on the subject though.

    Of course SKILLS should be top and formost . . . stamina and strength can be worked on and be improve . . . but basically a fighter has to have all to be succesfull.

    One thing you can't teach is speed....the rest you can.

    Skills then Stamina then Speed than Strength. All of these can be increased with working out. Stamina is something you can acquire with hard work, and strength can be increased to a degree. I do believe you can help someone realize their potential quickest speed with certain techniques, not in the fashion Apollo Creed did with Rocky in Rocky 3 (which was ridiculous) but a little more. Skill is a learning and experience thing. The only things you cannot teach are what guys like Toney or Benitez have. That radar to avoid punches is something unique.

    :D That's why I didn't mention it.

    But even with just an average speed if the fighter has natural fighting skills . . . he will always be competitive.
