If it all goes well for Bute, it's: Zuniga in March, Andrade in June, and there's a slot free for autumn/winter 2008. It will have to be someone who is high profile, preferably American...someone Showtime likes. Green? Only if he gets his finger out and starts doing something to get noticed. Right now, he's barely a top 15 fighter.
Emmet Linton was a cute little boxer type at 154. Fought Green in Oklahoma City, and counter punched the **** out of Green at 160 for 10 rounds. The decision for Green was worse than Diamond over Huerta and Valuev over Holy COMBINBED!
Winter of 2008 is a good time to fight Green. By then Green might have beaten a fairly high profile opponent and his stock will be on the rise so a fight against Bute is possible..... That's if bute didn't lose to Zuniga or Andrade.... Without the belt, there's no reason why Green should face Bute...Green don't need a beltless Bute.
I'm the one who's thinking about Andrade. Bute is thinking about Zuniga. It's better that way than the other.
Why should Bute care about a guy who's never beat a top10 ranked fighter? Why should the champion call out a challenger? Shouldn't it be the other way around? Beside, with fights against Andrade and Kessler in the horizon. Who gives a damn about Allan Green? :rofl
Two weeks left before Bute-Zuniga. The promo will start in about a week. Anyone knows when Zuniga flies to Montreal?
I just hope he doesn't pull another illness or a visa problem like he did against Sebastien Demers...pi
