Could be a negotiating ploy, just like that BS about fighting Arreola. At this point Haye has no choice other than fighting either of the Klitschkos, or fading into irrelvancy.

Has Haye missed the boat? Surely a hungry and confident challenger would face the champion in his backyard, what happened to Germany?

Germany is home of the most biased and ridiculous judging decisions in history. As well as no atmosphere what so ever so i personally don't blame Haye if he didn't want to fight in Germany. What happened to the original venue of Stamford Bridge or even the O2 Arena where you would make more money and get a good old British boxing atmosphere... the place would be rocking, even with Wlad in a fight the arena would be making noise.

Anyway i read that article and nowhere in it does it have a quote or any information on who was asking for the fight at MSG... it's in the title but there are no quotes from anybody in the know in the article...

If it comes off, this fight isn't going to the scorecards. Wlad by KO. :good

Didn't Wlad even say he was OK with having the fight staged in London? That's Hayes backyard... But now Haye wants MSG in NY - absolutely no logic in that, I know MSG is the mecca of boxing but this fight would be so much bigger somewhere in Germany or the UK...

To me it seems that Haye is just looking for a way out. Remember he's the co-owner of Hayemaker promotions and has a say there. He doesn't really want this fight now, after all the talking he has done (and the fake pics he did holding Wlads head...), and he's looking for excuses. Haye the saviour of the division? Don't make me laugh. Very disappointing. **** that.

I did and compared to Haye v Maccaranelli in the O2 Arena it was as quiet as a mouse in a drum factory

Why would Haye be looking for a way out when he has been busting his ass to get the fight to start with? THAT DON'T MAKE SENSE.

And to now start blaming Haye for a rumour by 1 website with no relavent quotes about change of venue is just hearsay... If anything has broken talks down it's the fact the Klitschkos wanted 2 rematch clauses added to Hayes contract which would mean even if he did beat Wlad he would have to fight him again and then big brother, would mean Haye would have to give up the titles even if he did beat Wlad. That added to the fact that Haye had agreed a 70/30 split in Wlads favour and then Wlad decided he wanted a 70/30 split on the uk tv sales aswell sounds to me it is Wlad that wants out of this fight

Well I have to say that the 2 rematch clause is indeed too much, if it is true. I wouldn't agree to that if I was Haye. 1 rematch clause is ok, same with the 70/30 split of all tv sales and purse. Remember Haye is not mandatory and has done close to nothing at HW so far. That said he's the most interesting opponent for Wlad out there right now. Still, K2 promotions have been known to be an easy and flexible negotiator while the same can't be said about Hayemaker promotions. In the end I hope the fight does happen after all, and I don't even care where it happens.

Uh, Haye and his promoter could not deliver either. The O2 had already been booked for the proposed fight date for a while and Haye and his manager did not even know it. :patsch They are clueless as to how to promote a fight hence why they turned it over to Golden Boy.

The funniest thing is the mass of people really believing that Haye is the best HW out there and that the Klitschkos are really scared... :patsch

Haye is the most dangerous oponent for Wlad... speed, movement, balls and power are the ingredients you need to beat Wlad and Haye has them in abundance. Nobody is saying Haye is the best HW but he has the best chance apart from Vitali of beating Wlad and shaking up the division a bit
