His eye swelled from the jabs, some of which did get through, every round.

Also, that single left hook that wobbled Adamek could have caused that swelling in and of itself, though IMO the jabs did half of it.

Watch rounds 1-4 again. Adamek was beautifully patient, with Banks goading him to throw the right hand. Banks was not catching him, bar the one left hook. When Adamek was not throwing the right hand, he was winning the jab war, 2-1 ratiowise.

His jabs to the body were decisive in winning the jab war (landed 80%ish of them).

When he threw the right, he was geting countered...but Banks took some shots too, and Tomasz followed up for the finish.

I seen rounds 1-4..... Banks was winning those rounds :rofl. You do know Adamek did not start throwing to the body until the 6th round right. I do agree as soon as he started he took the fight. If he would of started earlier Banks would not of scored as much. Adamek was the one MISSING his jabs early in the fight. He landed about one good punch a round until he turned it on in the 6th. You blind ass nuthuggers amuse me.

Adamek impresses me, he is a good fighter
Want to see that Rematch with Cunningham or a fight with Hopkins could be HUGE

Yes, Adamek was too conservative early. Because of the outcome tonight, some will use their 20/20 hindsight to point out that this was Adamek's strategy all along with the risky but stamina challaneged Banks.
I, on the other hand, think Adamek is a rhythm boxer who needs to establish some flow to start pressuring and land the big shots. His hand movement gets more animated when he does this and he actually comes in with shots rather then staredowns. He started a little slow against Cunningham and a lot slower tonight. Adamek has an iron chin but his opponents would do themselves a lot of good if they went to his body, which is a bit softer.

Adamek was lucky he had a guy in front of him with no real stamina or chin. He clearly had issues the first 4 rounds (banks was ahead 3-1 or it was 2-2 at worst). Adamek will get beat very soon and if he fights Hopkins in his next fight he will get schooled.

No I thought he was winning rounds early, as did others who posted their scores (though they gave him less than i did).

He was winning the exchanges when he used his left exclusively early in the fight.

He could have been more active with the left, but remained inactive with the right. That is how he fought rounds 3 and 4, plus he jabbed to the body beautfiully.

Adamek in this fight showed great jabs to head and body, a good left hook, and great D. He needs to adapt to fighting southpaws now, it's his biggest weakness now that he seems to really have his defence up to a B+ level (could be better still...).

Yes and if Banks stays busy with the jab and grabbing like Wlad he had a chance to win the fight.

Adamek had a great chin and you can not go into the infight if you had not such a chin. Banks should look what Wlad do.

    Great win for Adamek.

Hopkins vs. Adamek sounds good and i believe Hopkins will outbox Adamek.

The only chance Banks had was his right hand and he was trying to win fight by one punch. Lazy? Ha is slower than Adamek, Adamek is much better in combos, combination, short distance, has better stamina and if Banks wouldn't so 'lazy' he would lost this fight earlier.
