Whatz up with that ****??? That dude was in absolutely no condition to continue, but he sent him back out there. Then, he waits an extra 3 punches before the damn thing shouldn't been stopped!

I ain't complaining. It was awesome seeing Adamek murder him after the tremendous shots he absorbed.

((((((((((((((KURWA MAC ADAMEK IS THE MAN))))))))))))))))))))

Banks had his hand down protecting his waist while his chin was getting cracked open. Why do fighters do that?

Yeah, If he was going to let him continue, it was a championship fight, he should have been more on top of it, but it looked bad that he held the rope all the way to the neutral corner. At least he knew where he was going I guess.

I agree with the poster...Eddie Cotton should be ashamed of himself.

Banks was in no condition to continue. He was out on his feet. As soon as he started walking away from the ref with his hand on the rope, he should have waved the fight off.

Because Banks is a stupid fighter who hasn't grasped the fundamentals.
I see this dude campaigning at contender status for a couple more years, then dropping to journeyman level until he retires.

Johnathan Banks will never be world champion.

Easy there, fightfan...he is still a young guy who's very confident in his abilities. If he can learn from this, I'm sure he will be a title holder at cruiser some day...who else is going to beat him there? Guillermo Jones? Enzo? Cunningham?

Banks has skills...I want to see how he comes back from this.

He could have stopped it, but he gave him the count and asked if he was okay. He came forward and wanted to continue. This was no Morrison vs Mercer. Some of posters need to relax. Cotton is actually a very good and competent ref. It is a championship fight. Some posters need to relax with this bum stuff. What are all these fighters need to fight like a prime RJJ or Ali? He is young and will be back. Adamek is the man at CW. Get in the ring with one of these bums, better yet, get in the ring with one of the female pros and then call a fighter a bum. If you can't respect a fighter, then you have no respect for the fight game.

Time will tell...it's up to Banks now. It will be interesting to see how he reacts from this beatdown. A real champion comes back from defeat.

Sure, you can polish up some flaws here and there, but you can't teach killer instinct. And you can't instill mental strength into a lackadaisical mindset.

Tonight Banks was cruising along like he was being showcased in HIS hometown.
No sense of urgency to close the show, or even rack up points whatsoever.

The guy has a sparring partner mentality very much like Tony Thompson who also displayed an impressive record before getting schooled and overpowered by Wladimer Klitschko.

I'm not saying Banks won't ever pick up some trinket like an IBO strap or whatever- but he will never be a legit world champ.
He just doesn't have the necessary intestinal fortitude for it.
That fact is as clear as daylight.

Banks was drooling, walking AWAY from the ref HOLDING the ropes to keep himself up.

Eddie Cotton is like the modern day Ruby Goldstein.

Oh jeez, here we go again, modern boxing fans complaining when a fight was allowed to go to its NATURAL conclusion. It was quite refreshing, what with all these wimpy refs who pull the trigger for no good reason!

    BRAVO Eddie Cotton!!

Again, it's entirely up to Banks...if he is a true contender, he will come back stronger from this loss...he is still a very young fighter.

You shouldn't write-off any fighter from just one loss.

Look at the great Glen Johnson or Nate Campbell.
