Nice One!!! The Hopkins decisions could have gone either way and TBH at that stage of his career Hopkins was always going to have trouble against a young, athletic boxer.

18 months - 2 years ago I'd have gone for Taylor UD but I'm not sure Taylor is performaing at the same level these days.

Really glad this fight has been made and they have stopped fannying about.

Should be a competitive fight and Froch will have his hands full. However I will be behind Froch 100% for this fight.

He's had a strange career IMHO. Most of his impressive wins were against lt middles when he was a genuine middleweight, people like Marquez, Bumema, Ouma (though Joppy was a 160lb fighter and a good win) and those wins are 4-5 years ago now. 4Scoring controvesy aside, neither Hopkins fight is that interesting to watch either, then he had the draw against Winky and 2 loses to Pavlik. Of those fights the Pavlik ones are probably the most entertaining.

I think he got more than a little overated because HBO were looking for a new American face of boxing and he got the job.....

    Yes, smoke his boots!

    Awesome.

Dibella has really been scraping the barrel to find absolutely anyone to fight except Froch hasn't he?

He thought he'd got away with it until Froch called their bluff and said we'll do the fight in any ring in America.

Even then it has still took weeks for them to commit to a contract hasn't it ?...

I hope for that reason that the Cobra obliterates Taylor.

Jermaine Taylor beat Bernard Hopkins twice, better than Joe Calzaghe.

I'll go with Taylor via UD.

I think he has come back well since getting battered to the ground in the first Pavlik fight.

His accuracy of punch may be too much for Froch.

Excellent... looking forward to this fight.

Fair play to Froch for going to the States as well...

Pavlik 1 is a very good fight, and arguably a fair summary of Taylor

The Hopkins fights were very hard work, neither guy wanted to force it. They were intriguing at the time but I wouldn't rewatch them lol

Taylor was impressive last time out against Lacy but both guys have/had reps beyond what they deserved it could be said...

Very hard to pick a winner of Taylor/Froch, in the UK I'd go with Froch but in the states it's much harder to call
