If he beats Dawson today, he is inside the top 7-10 P4P. At the moment, he is well inside the top 20, borderline top 15. Check this poll, and in fact the post-Cunningham poll as well.
I know your Polish and your a big Tomasz fan, but how can he rank above Hatton ? How many top 10 P4P fighters has Adamek beaten.... has he held his ring belt for 4 years. Adamek is a good boxer but you are getting a little carried away..... He is the man at CW by defualt, he never beat the man Haye ( not adamek's fault) Adamek was a strap holder who then got outclassed by Dawson who wasn't even p4p top 20 at the time, then moved up beating a belt holder in Cunnigham and then Banks. Please amuse me with your reasoning to place Tomasz 4 places above Hatton
I'd rate him 20th at best.... which is a good postition I don't see a problem, but to have won a strap and defended it only once does not place you in the top 15 in the World.
Why do people continue to ***** about P4P rankings? If you don't like the one you're reading, make your own. They're entirely subjective.
No answer...... Meh thought so Hatton- Tyszu, Maussa, Urango, Castillo, Collazo, Maywether (L), Lazcano, Magglinaggi Adamek- Briggs, Dawson (L), Briggs, Bell, Cunnungham, Banks Hatton by a mile
Hatton was destroyed by Mayweather, looked bad against Lazcano and I never considered Paulie an elite fighter. After Lazcano fight, many thought that this is the time for Hatton to end his career. Adamek won 2 bloody fights with tough Paul Briggs - fighter that many tried to avoid. He beat Ulrich IN GERMANY. Lost to Dawson (sending him to the floor once). Yes, Chad was better that night, but those who knew Adamek earlier claerly saw that he wasn't himself in that fight. Moved to cruiser and gained over 20 pounds. Destroyed former lineal 200 lb champion O'Neil Bell and make him look like an amateur. Beat Steve Cunningham, considered the best cruiser in the world and A level fighter. Just two and a half month later beats undeafeted Johnathon Banks in impressive fashion. I have some reasons as you see, now you can amuse me.
True. But to have won a strap and defended it twice, then moved up 25 lbs (equivalent of 3 weightclasses) and won another strap from a Ring #1, does.
I see a few OK names there.... But none of them were probably p4p top 50 other than Dawson and maybe Cunningham. And he has lost to the only Elite boxer he has faced. Hatton has faced 3 top 10 p4p boxers in Tyszu, Castillo, Mayweather and is 2-1.... He has held his Ring belt for 4 years after beating the lineal champ. You are fighting a losing battle here..... I like Tomasz but you are getting very carried away with even trying to compare resume's with Hatton
How old was Kostya Tszyu and Castillo when they fought Hatton? Were they in their primes? Urango seemed a little green two years ago. I like Hatton, but I don't consider him a top 10 p4p fighter right now.
Come on now.... you are being a little hypocritical here Kosta was 34 (ranked 3 p4p) and JLC was 32 (ranked 8 p4p) The only fighter Adamek has faced anywhere near this standard was Dawson and he lost a one sided fight. No if's or But's he lost Once Adamek has held his ring belt for 4 years unified his belt. beaten 5/6 top 10 contenders THEN we can compare..... But until then it's not even close.
Tszyu was almost 36 and Castillo 34 (with over 60 pro fights). Your living the past my friend. How Hatton was ranked after PBF fight? He didn't rebuild his position (in my opinion), that he had before the Mayweather fight yet. Training with Mayweather Sr. seems to be good thing for Ricky, we should wait untill the Pacquiano fight before ranking him highly. Adamek recently beat O'Neil Bell, Steve Cunningham and Johnathon Banks - i find it more impressive that the recent Hatton fights.
