    [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=+1][/SIZE][/FONT] The World Boxing Association Championship Committee has declared two-time WBA heavyweight champion John “The Quietman” Ruiz (43-8-1, 29 KOs), presently rated No. 3, as the mandatory challenger for the winner of this year’s Ruslan Chagaev-Nicolai Valuev WBA title fight.

    If you reallt think about it there ain't like somebody else deserves it and he did give Valuev a close won more recently.

    Connections, connections....without them, Ruiz is just any limited regional fighter. With them, he gets title shot after title shot, and is allowed to "win" some of them by cheating.

    Ruiz is the POSTER BOY for boxing corruption.

    There's only one man who can make Ruiz-Valuev entertaining and he's currently gone awol. Bring him back to the fold Jawny...and you MAY get yerself a title belt.

    I dont know what organization is worse, the WBC or the WBA? The fact that they let Vitali comeback after 4 years and got a shot at title is almost laughable. Letting Maskaev around the belt for 2 years fighting only that lame ass contender (Spell Check) Okhella, as well as ****ing over McCall who earned his chance at a belt by beating Sineal Sam, then took a fight and lost against Gomez because Vitali cut in line.

    I don't understand ... he should be in the back of the line for a shot at the WBA title ... I don't understand why he keeps on getting these title shots. Who has he beat?

    He lost to Valuev twice
    He lost to Chagaev
    He's lost 3 of his last 5 fights and 6 if you include Toney --

    What do you guys think?

    Does the WBA just not have many contenders? and should he be considered for another title shot?

    Can you tell me another guy that deserves more?
    He gave the champion a tough fight and arguably won,he's in for a shot as much as the next guy,if there is any?

    Who ****in cares... the HW division is ****, has no uniform ranking AT ALL with the top 10. You can probablyt find 20-30 guys in different top tens. "Earning" a shot in the HW division hasn't existed in over a decade. Get over it, stop watching, or quitcher bitchin. The HW division is what it is. Rubbish with no garbage man in sight.
