Oscar did well early with his jab, but stopped using it once he began to eat counter right hands. Seems to me, by the sixth round he was gassing and fighting in spurts. I feel that if Floyd would have pressed the issue enough in the second half of the fight, he could have really put it on Oscar and possibly stopped him on accumulation. Either way I had Floyd winning it clearly, 116-112 or 117-111, albeit unimpressively.
ANYONE who gave this round to DLH needs to watch this video. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116387[/url] [yt]29tUBePC_Us[/yt]
] Oscars whiffing on most is punches, Floyd is countering precisely. There is no way any knowledgeable boxing fan would give Oscar that round. Thunder is just being a *****.
There is no way DLH anyone could give this round to DLH. DLH's biggest moment is in the last 5 seconds of the round when he lands a flush hook, only for PBF to land a flush hook right after. PBF clearly won this round. This shouldn't even be questioned. The poll is sad.
Well my question to you is, Did you really enjoyed that fight?? I dont know how someone could have found that fight interesting :-(
Yes, I enjoyed that fight and I found it interesting. You have to understand that I am a fan of boxing, not "brawling". I look at boxing as an art. Overall, I was very pleased, and I definetely felt I got my money worth. DLH put on a good performance and he really tried, PBF was my fav fighter at the time and he never dissapoints me. That fight was definetely worth my money, I woulda payed $300 to see that card if I had to. Did the fight live up to its hype, no it did not. But was it still a good fight and worth the money, HELL YES.
