Haye is one of England's best, but Rogan is the more proven English heavyweight.

Martin Rogan is one Hard *******, Brutal fight, not pretty but thrilling all the same.
Massive Heart and Iron Chin got the job done tonight, he literally willed his way to victory.

I'd like to see him against dimitrenko as he and Skelton were in talks of a showdown prior to this fight

He was also underdog against Dolan in the Prizefighter final (thats three out of his last four fights were he has been underdog and won).

The guy is short on skill but has buckets of heart, stamina and chin to offset the balance. He has a tremendous will to win. Skelton looked like he was coming back into the fight after almost being stopped, winning back-2-back-rounds, but Rogan beat the **** out of him and got the stoppage.

    Rogan was great tonight.

He may not be a world-beater but put him in with Vlad and you'll get a better spectacle than Vlad-Ibragimov.

And for ****s sake, just remember that he got into the sport late and has only had 12 fights up to now. Beating Dolan, Harrison and Skelton is a damn fine return after 12 fights.

    Bingo.

It's almost like Skelton beating Sprott after only 12 fights....:deal

Rogan has not picked any easy fight from what I can see and he deserves a top 10 rating and a shot at Valuev or a top 10er

    Its better than that.

Beating three fighters of contrasting styles, in which you were underdog in all, is superior to beating one guy in which you were what? (what were the odds of Skelton beating 25-6 Sprott in that fight; I'd bet it wasn't the same as an accumulator on Rogan beating the three mentioned:deal What do you think?)

I just think it's ironic that Skelton was the man who upset the odds to beat Sprott after only a handful of fights, and now he has had the exact same thing done to him by Rogan. :good

    Fair play:good

  10. Thing is - Skelton has the kickboxing pedigree etc. Rogan came from nothing... And Rogan's rise from nothing to arguably the best domestic heavyweight resume... it's pretty impressive

He didn't come from nothing, he was a taxi driver. De Niro was ****ing tough as a taxi driver.

Great fight and fair play to both fighters. If the HW's could produce that more often it would be great for the sport. Skelton thought it would be easier than it turned out, Rogan done him fair and square. I'm not sure Rogan can be knocked out, tough as they come. :happy
