I was waiting to see if someone would notice that. Strangely, they paid me out on that bet. But you are way off with your negative 345 number because you are assuming the bet would have been a loss. When you have a draw on a parlay normally they remove that bet from the parlay and pay it out without that fight. In this case, they didn't do that.

And since Martinez kicked Cintron's ass anyways, there is a sense of justice.

really? i did not know that. that's surprising to say the least

in boxing a draw is usually not considered a push since the option to bet on a draw is present.

In boxing if I bet on someone to win a fight and the fight ends in a draw i lose my money, so i would expect the same if that fight is part of a parlay.

In my experience, if the draw is an option on that particular ticket then a draw is considered a loss, because you had it as an option and did not take it.

However, if the draw is not listed, it is a push. So, if you are betting a "result" type of bet a draw is not a push vs a straight up "to win" wager where a draw is a push.

However, this has been the only time I was ever paid out as if a draw was a win, even though in the result right on the ticket result it is listed as a draw.

ha ha I am silly. They DID remove the Martinez fight from the bet. If you calculate it that winning amount is right on....if Martinez was included in it the winnings would have been 270.

I will wait to see how they pay me out but I am expecting the John result to not count at all and I expect to have won 270.27, we shall see.

WHAT A FIGHT. I THOUGHT I MIGHT BE REALLY SCREWED THERE FOR A MINUTE. This was my first huge (for me) risky bet since Juan Diaz vs Michael Katsidis which set me back considerably.

Thank the Gods that Chris John wasn't TOTALLY robbed and given a loss, otherwise I would be screwed.

all my winnings calculations are over by 100.12 dollars because I misread the ticket. Yes I was supposed to win 170.31 but in actuality I won 170.19 minus the 100 I bet for a net profit of 70.19.

So I will fix this in the next bet post and tally.

The reason for this is that the ticket result was as follows

Parlay (3 Teams) 02/14/09 18:57 ET bet 100.00 to win 170.31 (paid 170.19) Result: Wager Won Light Middleweight Fight - Sunrise FL Alfredo Angulo 1
    Cosme Rivera 0 02/14/09(20:00 ET)
Alfredo Angulo -800 Light Middleweight Fight - Sunrise FL Sergio Gabriel Martinez 0
    Kermit Cintron 0 02/14/09(22:05 ET)
Sergio Gabriel Martinez -170 Lightweight Fight - Sunrise FL Nate Campbell 1
    Ali Funeka 0 02/14/09(22:40 ET)
Nate Campbell -195 I misread the whole thing thinking they paid me as if the draw was a win because my paid amount was almost the same as my win amount, but the paid amount includes the win plus the initial bet which if I was paid as if the draw was a win would be 270.31 but instead its 170.19 proving that they just pushed the draw as they always do and paid me as if it was a two fight parlay instead of three like they always do in the case of a draw.

I won 270.27 on the above bet since the John fight was a draw  and therefore it pushed.

Also, I accidentally calculated my last bet ticket incorrectly as explained in previous posts, so I must deduct 100.12 from my current winnings tabulation.

So that leaves me with 170.15 more that I have won.

    After 11 bets in 2009 I am up 267.45
After 7 bets in February 09 I am up 407.45 :good

    Bet #12

Straight Wager 03/25/09 13:03 ET bet 230.00 to win 200.00 Result: Pending Heavyweight Fight - Los Angeles CA Samuel Peter
    Eddie Chambers 03/27/2009(22:00 ET)
    Eddie Chambers -115

Bet#13 is a Five Fight Parlay all fights this Saturday 04/04/09

Just to clarify my picks are Sosnowski, Valero, Andrade, Bradley and Povetkin

arlay (5 Teams) 04/04/09 01:07 ET bet 50.00 to win 305.63 Result: Pending Super Middleweight Fight - Canada Librado Andrade
    Vitali Tsypko 04/04/2009(22:30 ET)
Librado Andrade -500 Heavyweight Fight - Germany Francesco Pianeta
    Albert Sosnowski 04/04/2009(16:00 ET)
Albert Sosnowski +185 Heavyweight Fight - Germany Alexander Povetkin
    Jason Estrada 04/04/2009(15:00 ET)
Alexander Povetkin -800 Lightweight Fight - Austin TX Edwin Valero
    Antonio Pitalua 04/04/2009(21:00 ET)
Edwin Valero -500 Light Welterweight Fight - Canada Timothy Bradley
    Kendall Holt 04/04/2009(22:00 ET)
    Timothy Bradley -185
Soso/Krat, Kats/Chavez, Hernandez/Escobedo and Julio Diaz/R Reyes all have, for me, an element of some risk that make me nervous about throwing them into the parlay. Out of the five fights above I have some concern about all of them but Pitalua kind of concerns me especially, this older, very focused power puncher with nothing to lose....but I believe in Valero.

I actually think this parlay has a good chance of winning. Graham Houston scared me off of Julio Diaz with his fight preview (he doesn't think he will lose, only that there is danger with Reyes if focused) and he picked Sosnowski with a lot of confidence and I liked his explanation about how Lawrence's speed was a factor that Pianeta won't posess.

Anyways, enjoy the fights on Saturday folks whether you download them or youtube them or watch them live. After all, that is the point, to enjoy.
    :hat

    :happy

writing may appear to small, anyways that is a graph of my six bet two month six win streak that took me from around 350 down to over 450 up, I figured I better get this in since I may lose the parlay tomorrow.

I still won money on this big parlay but got screwed because Sosnowski was given a hometown draw

This pushed the biggest fight on the parlay in terms of value so I won around seventy bucks instead of three hundo but i'll take it i'll take it

I have now been royally robbed out of three parlay bets recently due to hometown or otherwise bull**** draws that my fighter should have won

    Martinez should have beat Cintron
Chris John should have beat R Juarez
and Sosnowski should have beat Pianeta

    thankfully none of them lost

    after 13 bets in 09 I am up 542.23

Bet #14 is a three fight parlay

Parlay (3 Teams) 04/25/09 18:41 ET bet 25.00 to win 261.67 Result: Pending Super Middleweight Fight - Mashantucket CT Jermain Taylor
    Carl Froch 04/25/2009(23:00 ET)
Carl Froch +115 Featherweight Fight - Mexico Daniel Ponce de Leon
    Marlon Aguilar 04/25/2009(21:45 ET)
Daniel Ponce de Leon -1500 Super Bantamweight Fight - Puerto Rico Juan Manuel Lopez
    Gerry Penalosa 04/25/2009(22:45 ET)
    Gerry Penalosa +400
I feel like this is a pretty risky bet hence the low betting amount. I wouldn't be suprised if my winning streak ends here but I can easily see all three fights going my way as well and the pay off is real nice hence that is why I made this small bet.
