    If Diaz had MORE power, his punch output would decrease, and thus Marquez would have been hit less. Come on, if you know anything about boxing, you know throwing 100 punches a round is not going to yield bombs to the dome. Or have you ever even stepped into the ring to come to that glaringly obvious conclusion?
    After all, if you turn down Lampey's ridiculously biased commentary, and really WATCH the fight, you'll see after the first couple of rounds Diaz landed very little in the way of solid shots on Marquez.

    Also, are we also noting other fighters as "overrated" due to the amout they get hit? In that case, guys like Pacquiao, Hagler, Lamotta, MAB, Morales, etc are "overrated" too, I guess.
    :patsch

    You're REALLY going to argue semantics between very good and great? Seriously?

    Whatever.

    Juan Diaz could be in the same position that JMM is right now

    ok. youre right on that one. but i think beating juan diaz shouldnt be viewed as more than a good win. He was favored and JD was definitely competetive. wouldnt you agree?

    I also think the people saying "He's lost to Campbell" aren't getting it. He has two losses on his record, one to the #1 guy at 135 and the other to the #2 OVERALL P4P. If he had lost to guys below his stature, I'd see your point...but Nate Campbell and JMM on your loss column isn't exactly a death knell.

    I don't actually see an argument.

    You describe Juan as great, the same way people would describe Ray Leonard, Ray Robinson and Roberto Duran. I decide to call Juan Diaz "very good", the same way people would describe Paul Williams, Ike Quartey, or Cristian Mijares. I believe there to be a distinction between the two, but we don't have to argue over it. Agree to disagree.

    Man you make it sound like he really did that on purpose. JD isnt a big puncher. Marquez is definitely quality, but a quality fighter gets overrated too.

    :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    I didn't even come close to that. I didn't say anything about him being some sort of ATG. That's ridiculous and for you to even say that is ridiculous.

    I just said he was a great young fighter. Which he is. A great young fighter who just got beat by the P4P #2 and future ATG.
