People have been complaining for years about Floyd not fighting "true welters" and now people want him to fight true lightweights?

Floyd just beat a true undefeated P4P ranked junior welter, WHY would he be scared of a guy who just turned lightweight?

This is a serious question, people who are calling out for a Floyd-JMM fight and calling Floyd a duck would give Floyd NO credit for beating him. I want to hear from the hypocrites out there.

I don't even like Floyd, but I agree. My only criticism of Mayweather was that he was pfp#1 while at WW, yet never fought any top WWs. That didn't make sense. LWs, JWWs...who cares. Come back and fight a top WW and I'll be impressed.

The people who are calling Mayweather "scared" of Marquez are the same ******s who called Mayweather scared for Antonio "Hands of Plaster" Margarito.

fighters aren't really scared of each other. Its all about if fighting a guy is worth the risk or not.

I dont think the fight should happen cause at 147 Marquez is going to have huge problems. I'm just saying that if people are talking about Pac/Mayweather than Marquez should be in the equation. Win or lose I think he's earned that right.

nothing really. the challenge for him is to fight true welters and even challenge middlewts.

it would prove that even after 2 years of inactivity he can come out and beat the second best fighter in the sport. Despite having a size advantage that is impressive.

Who are the people SERIOUSLY considering this?

...of course, every fighter has his own hardcore fans. I'm asking, aside from his hardcore fans.

This fight should NEVER happen. Mayweather would look like a straight ***** in my eyes if he takes this fight. Cotto and Pacquiao( if he beats Hatton) are the only fighters that Mayweather should come out of retirement for.

It would prove that he's not as money motivated as advertised because he can make more money fighting Pac, Hatton, Cotto, Mosley, and De La Hoya if he decides to return.
