That is some bull****. Diaz drops like a ****ing potato and the ref calls the fight off before the count but either way Diaz would never have beat that count. That is a clean KO.
well some people say that a straight up KO is more of a testament to a fighter's true power. Keeping a fighter down for the 10 count before the ref stops the fight is not easy to do.
i think the definition is that the ref should end the count of 10 for it to be ruled a ko. there was no count so it is a technical ko. like pac over the other diaz. i dont think it means anything to them though
well the definition should be changed so that if the ref stops the fight while the fighter is down then its a KO, not a TKO
Thats a TKO brotha ... any stoppage is considered a TKO ... a KO is when you don't make the 10 count. Boxing 101
I don't think that Marquez will lose any sleep over it. If the ref doesn't finish a 10 count, it's not a KO.
I'm pretty sure i've seen some fights where the ref gets to 8 or 9 and then waves it off before 10, and its considered a KO
That's the point I was making - the ref screwed him out of the proper official ruling. As I said, a KO carries a little more prestige, and the only reason it's not reflected on JMM's record is because Rafael Ramos chose not to (or can't) count to ten.
