Exactly. Basically the same MAB that Pac fought, how exactly is that greater accomplishment when he went life and death with the man, while the other was able to easily beat him.
don't get me wrong bud. casamayor or jdiaz could have done it alone. you don't need to put 2 good names against 1 decent name, that is just unfair. get me?
And you agree with this? Anyway, Pac already beat MAB when he was still P4P. Convincingly too. JMM beating him at 130 were eons after.
i have nothing against you bud. i just find it unfair. the word "or" (casa or jdiaz, intead of casa and jdiaz) might have done it for me :good and yes, i agree that at 135 jmm has the better record, obviously.
LOL, they beat the same man. One was competitive the other was not. Obviously I'm dumbfounded, so please explain it to me because I'd like to know the significance of one over the other.
Not quite the way I remember it. Yes, when Pac beat MAB, it was SHOCKING and people began wondering if MAB was past it, but I don't recall anyone (and I mean ANYONE) not giving Pac his due props. Incidentally, we soon discovered MAB was NOT shot, because he would go on to win his rubber match with Morales. That elevated Pac's win over MAB even further. When JMM beat MAB, he got some credit for the win, but over all, that fight had a lot less buzz about it. MAB losing to JMM was not shocking, MAB getting bludgeoned by Pacquiao was. I don't see this as being relevant. I viewed both as decent victories, nothing more. Pac's carried more weight in my eyes because he moved up to beat Diaz, but that aside, neither win was tremendous, and I don't recall anyone treating either as such. And at the same time, rational fans were declaring beyond ANY shadow of a doubt that Pac took his rightful place as the Heir to Mayweather that night--something he had ALREADY done beforehand, and only further solidified with his magnificent effort against the Golden Boy. That's a minority view point, and I'm actually surprised that so many are claiming that. I had Pac beating JMM 113-112 in the first fight and losing 113-114 in the rematch, but Pac has the only official victory, and regardless of their head-to-head showings (both of which were close) Pac has undoubtedly done more to deserve the claim than JMM. It's a minority view point that no doubt spiked a bit becuase of the recentness of JMM's last fight. In total, I think you're putting too much weight into fringe views. Everyone says these types of things after every big fight, but if you filter out biased minority opinions and the rantings of fanboys and hatersl, I don't think many people are doing as you claimed. I think I'm being entirely fair. :smoke
Marquez will always be behind Manny Pacquaio unless theu fight again, in which case Pacquiao KO Marquez. Marquez's defense is nothing special and he can be caught. Marquez's offense is a masterpiece, and his boxing brain and ring smarts are on of the best, only Hopkins and Mayweather, maybe even Calzaghe can top it. His counter punching is amazing, he caught Juan Diaz while his hands were up, that's percision punching, but Manny is the p4p fighter out there hands down.
What he means is if you beat someone one-sidedly without something at stake its worthless. But if somebody else beats him, but without passing thru life and death, while fighting over candy. The latter is deemed more impressive.:tired
Nice nipples in the avatar, who is this Megan Fox you speak of? Oh yea what was the topic, yea I think there is a double standard.
Obviosly you haven't read most of the pac thread here to know and encounter such act by JMM fans... but i respect your opinion. :good
He can (and has been) caught, but his defense is pretty impressive if you ask me. His ability to make adjustments is even more impressive.
