yes. i guess it comes with the territory when you're p4p #1 and the best fighter in boxing. mayweather, mosley, bhop and rjj were also under a great amount of criticism and double standards during their reigns as p4p #1 from their rival's boxing fans wanting their favorite boxers to replace them at the top. when you're at the top, ppl will always try to drag you down. sad, but that's just human nature.

i remembered hopkins in this situation.. detractors saying he just beat fighters who move up... then the rest is history.. he has proven time and time again that he's a great fighter..

and now it's pac proving his mettle as p4p no 1 and greatness

Pac fought weigth drained-bum-punching bags-shot-old-not known fighters

Marquez fought super-duper-uber-whooper fighters at their super-uber-duper-whooper PRIMES!

There's a lot of double standards between these 2 fighters. The fans make this $hit happen.

Every athlete that reaches the top will always have haters. There will always be a "but" out there somewhere.

No, it's not a double standard because both guys have their detractors who say basically the same thing about each. Just because one picks and chooses which part to focus on doesn't mean there is a legitimate double standard.

People said for JMM, Casa was a good win, people said he just beat a shot fighter.
People said the DLh win for Pac was very good, some said the just beat a shot fighter.
Some said both beat a past prime Barrera.

This is just a 'pity me' thread....

    You're a Pac fan? I didn't know that.
Somedays you're bashing him, then other days you're supporting him.
