Since moving up in weight Pacquiao has looked like a million dollars while Hatton came in for a bit of criticism for the Lazcano fight but then dismantled Malignaggi (personally I found this fight boring as ****, but I did watch it after 1 hours sleep so I wasn't very alert). Will Hatton's alcohol / junk food diet mean he has gone downhill since facing Mayweather? Or will he actually be in better shape now that Floyd senior is training him? I ask this question as it's obviously going to be interesting to see if Pac can do a better job on Hatton than PBF did.
We'll not know for sure until they fight But things were not right in the Hatton camp before Floyd, hadn't been for a while perhaps I personally think he'll be fresher, more experienced, more rounded than when he faced Floyd His ring smarts have improved over the years a lot, but he's lost a lot of the dynamism of his youth, whether that equates to a better or worse fighter I don't know. But I think Pacman will, all in all, be facing a better fighter than Floyd did
He could possibly be on the same level, a bit like Calzaghe when he got older and lost some attributes but gained others.
As Ray, I mean Trotter says, we won't know properly until fight time but I suspect that Hatton will be better prepared than he was for PBF against a man who doesn't pose anywhere near the same risk
Hopefully Hatton has learnt a little from the PBF fight and won't go hell for leather from the first bell.
I think the version of Hatton will be about the same. The BIG difference will be that Joe Cortez will not be refereeing this bout which TOTALLY spoiled the PBF/HATTON fight for me (not saying that it would have changed the result).
