thats why their is no reasoning with you pac haters. barrera no where near the fighter pac fought the first time eg. p4p no.3 in the world and best featherweight. if katsidis almost beat casamayor and santa cruz should have, then you know he is not prime. now marquez is the best after beating diaz:patsch

I give more credit to beating a champion than some one that is PERCEIVED to be the man.

Not to mention, Casamayor was a 130-135 pounder for his entire career. Diaz is a lifetime lightweight. Barrera was at his best at 122.

First of all, I never even thought of P4P lineage. Considering its completely subjective you can't attach lineage. People have been surpassed in P4P rankings for inactivity or lack of quality wins. It happens all the time throughout the rankings and the #1 spot is no different.

I put more weight into JMM beating a linear champion and the next best opponent in a division than Pacman beating two handpicked opponents in a row, neither with a claim to any real championship. You don't.

In a perfect world, Marquez would have been #1 PFP for a while now.

Especially after beating Chris John and Pacman twice.

JMM reminds me of Whitaker, where they were robbed a more than one occassion.

    2 for Whitaker
    3 for JMM

Knock downs or not Marquez put on a beautiful display on boxing...If anything Manny should recieve a little of criticisim for not finishing off a man he KD (knock down) three times.

Marquez showed that he should be up there with Manny...FACT!:good

how is delahoya handpicked when no one knew how his condition was going to affect him during that fight. have you heard the phrase "no guts no glory". pac was underdog and took the fight and won. to say delahoya was handpicked is just dumb. hind sight is a beautifull thing for a hater like you and uliuli.:good

Freddie Roach knew exactly what DLH's condition would be like. He even said it himself that DLH was spent, that he couldn't fight anymore, by saying DLH couldn't pull the trigger anymore.

If we're talking about the early 2000s then Marquez beats both.. Marquez was a defensive minded boxer back then and he would have taken advantage of Morales' willingness to brawl. MOrales would have been countered to death and lose a close UD.
