Did you see Nate at the weight in? He was ripped. The guy just simply couldn't make the weight anymore. He still fought anyway even though he wasn't 100%. I respect that.

There's talks between the Zab-Campbell camps? I wouldn't object to that fight.

Campbell was not a paper champ. He beat a triple belt holder to get his titles. Marquez did not beat a champion to get his WBA/WBO belts; which is why they're paper titles. Don't get sucked into this Ring Magazine propoganda and start believing that their champ is the only legit champ.

I respect Nate because he gives fans their money's worth when he fights. That still doesn't change that he can't make the lightweight limit; if you can't make the weight, you can't say you're the man at that division.

I'd still love to see a fight happen between them at 140, though.

Does JMM even care about the titles? He seems like he more interested in fighting the best fight, whether it's Pac, mayweather, or hatton. Nates just wants a pay day, get in line.

I'll say it right now - Nate Campbell should stay away from JMM. Marquez is in the mood of his life at 35, like he's got a new lease of life or something!

    Marquez would beat Campbell!

Campbell would get sparked and retired. Marquez doesn't need him right now.. Maybe in the future after campbell's profile grows but right now, he got bigger fishes to fry. He needs the winner of pac/hatton... Only fight that matters at 140.

I take it Campbell means Marquez didn't win his Titles from him, JMM destroyed Joel Casamayor who was the man first to beat Nate Campbell back in 2003. Also Marquez gave Diaz much more of a beating than Campbell did.

JMM would knock Nate Campbell spark out.

what Nate meant was that for 11 months all you heard was "Ring is all that matters, the other belts are worthless, and blah blah blah", and 20 minutes after Nate misses weight they are all on the phone to the WBO WBA and IBF trying to get the belts.

And its real easy to say "JMM would knock Nate out". But here's a novel idea for you. How about they actually FIGHT, and then we'll see about that.

With Pac-Hatton set for May 2nd, the winner wont fight again till probably Aug-Sept, so unless JMM plans on being inactive for 7 months, he needs a fight in the meantime. He said in the post-fight interview that his business at 135 is done, and he's moving up. So lets make Marquez-Campbell for late May or June, and then we'll see for sure what happens, instead of just dismissing the fight as a blowout.

Note: If the fight gets made, I will take ANY amount of action (Vegas line) that anyone wants. All the money up front in a 3rd party escrow, so nobody gets ripped off.

If JMM wants to be noticed at 140 . . he should take this fight. After all . . . he ignored Campbell while he is the man at 135. Campbell didn't lose his titles in the ring . . . it's in the scale.

JMM may win, but they are certainly in the same class.
