I understand but I'm not sure that was the deciding factor in Pac taking those fights.If he wanted the Hatton fight for the people of the Phillipines,why did he risk scuppering the fight by asking for a 60/40 split??Explain this to me please.This fight is a 50/50 split if ever one was fair IMO.

If PAC vs DLH hasnt happened yet, and a guaranteed Hatton fight after, whos to say that Pac did'nt just look for money fights?! He is clearly the underdog and was deemed crazy for even trying to fight these 2. Now that it happened and DLH got humiliated, suddenly its all about the money!? As far as i can remember, people were insisting DLH should fight AM, Cotto, PBF and not somebody who just moved up from 135.

I don't recall DLH being linked with Cotto or Margarito.I remember a fight vs Hatton was being talked about with wembley as a potential venue and maybe a pointless rematch with Floyd Mayweather.Then the Pac fight came along

 

Lots of fighters wants to fight PAC, not solely for the biggest pay they'll get, but the opportunity to fight the number 1 P4P and future ATG. (while having the upperhand, so the possibility of winning is favorable)

It is clear that you will fight a top fighter for more $$ rather than a boring,high risk and low reward fight regardless of whether you fight for $$ or for glory and honour.

 

Im explaining to you why Pac getting the higher share is justifiable. And so it pushed thru.

 

Well they were. Because PBF was said to be avoiding them, And so people wanted to give these respective fighters the biggest paycheck they'll get and that was fighting DLH. Then Pac came along.

Not to mention that during rematch negotiations for their second fight, it was about to be announced that Pac would fight David Diaz instead......

Goes to show you what greed is......Top Rank and GBP in negotiations to fight MAB after he got his ass kicked by JMM (Pac actually fighting the loser instead of the winner).....in any regard in the negotiations to fight MAB, Pac had a agreed that he'd fight JMM afterward at a 55/45 split.......

Pac would not agree to that when it came time to sign on the dotted line......

Every fight fan at the time wanted the fight to be made.....and there were loads of threads in this very forum discussing what a fair % split should be.....

......the hardcorest of *******s in this forum conceded that a 60/40 split would be fair for both JMM and Pac, and that JMM should concede to that or it would mean he be running chicken.....

JMM conceded and publicly stated that he'd take a 60/40 split.......
.....but no go from Pac.....it was 75/25 or he'd fight Diaz....
It was going to be announced the next day that Pac would fight Diaz, and JMM puclicly came out and said, that he was conceding to every Pac demand and that he was doing it for the fans.....""I'll fight him at 135 lbs, since he say's he cant make 130 lbs....JMM even conceded to that, but Pac and Roach through they're lying teeth were afraid that the fight at 135 lbs would actually favor JMM, and so they took the fight forcefully after JMM conceded to everything at 130 lbs.

There is no question in my mind that Pac at this moment is driven like DLH was.....by greed......his fight with Hatton almost did'nt get made to the disgust of both his promoter and Freddie Roach......
