Do you think he is in his prime right now? is he overrated? underrated?

Do you think his wins against KT and JLC are solid wins? Does he deserve credit for his two 'biggest' wins?

    What do you think guys?

He's past his physical prime, but there's still room for improvement in his arsenal to make it even. I just wish he had a healthier lifestyle and a change of trainer a few years back. Now, with all the corrections and gameplan Floyd can or cannot teach him, he can only gain what he loses because of the unhealthy ****. And this fight is a really tough one to win, as he always had problems with lefties, and PacMan has the perfect straight left to catch Hatton all night.

As Roach said in London, Hatton is tailor made for Pacquiao.

I always felt that Hatton was a bit overrated - a bit raw, average stamina, prone to getting countered....He'll prove me VERY wrong if he can beat Pacquiao. My opinion is that he won't - he changed trainers way too late in his career, and it takes years to unlearn some of those bad habits.

That's the Ricky Hatton the American fans have witnessed (the post Tszyu Hatton which i assure you is a completely different fighter to the 1 that was fighting his way up). The Hatton of old that many British fight fans remember had plenty of head movement in fact his head was never still. Worked his way in and out of range and once in close he would move side to side quickly whilst throwing combinations and his biggest assett back then wasn't just his body punching but his stamina.

The bad stamina thing with Hatton is a bit of a myth... he had bad stamina against Collazo due to not putting the weight on properly as he was scheduled for a fight at LWW and took the fight with Collazo as a replacement and put on too much weight and didn't put it on the right way. He had bad stamina against Urango and Lazcano but it is well known that before both of those fights Hatton was suffering with Flu and hadn't trained properly. A fully fit and healthy Hatton has very good stamina... agtainst Paulie Hatton looked as fresh as a daisy going into the 11th (although against an oponent that didn't offer a great deal in response to Hattons attacks)

Underated, has a great resume, got back up after crushing defeat and i believe he will beat the P 4 P no 1.

    Great fighter.

i think ricky is a solid figher....and i don't think anyone can disagree that he is a solid fighter. there are so many threads about his p4p status that its not worth getting into. but i do think he may have fallen into some bad habits as he progressed in his career post KT. Well see if a prolonged stint with mayweather sr will mean he has corrected some of those habits or if the PM fight was just a slight uptick the otherwise downward trajectory of his career post KT. If he does go out and beat pac and shows that his partnership with mayweather has corrected his bad habits and he is now back on track then i think well look back and say that his fight with PM was more important than him landing one well placed body shot against a shell of what once was JLC.

Hatton fooled a lot of people into thinking he was better than he was by spending an extended period of time fighting inferior opposition. The reason he has looked 'worse' to the Americans has nothing to do with weight or any other excuse thrown out there, it's because his limited style became more exposed as the competition got better.
