Ok let me preface this by saying this is not a hate thread or a glory thread, i'm looking for honest answers. Some of you might remember my posts about a couple of other boxers that I never had the luxury of really watching. So here's my question on Chavez.

Who were the best fighters that he actually beat? Obviouisly he lost to Oscar twice (argument can be made he was shot, especially for the 2nd fight), same goes for Tzyu, his draw with Whittaker by all accounts was a gift decision and the TKO of Taylor (Which I do barely remember watching as a kid with my dad) will be debated until the end of time.

So who were th ebest fighters JCC beat with little or no controversy? Thanks in advance to all who reply.

Rosario, Ramirez were both impressive wins.

Nothing wrong with the Taylor stoppage either.

Yup... I can't believe why it is even controversial. The fight it not over until it is over and the rules DO NOT CHANGE!

What makes it controversial is that refree Richard Steele made a judgment call that could have gone either way. If he lets the fight contune Taylor would have won by split decision.

You are assuming that steele knew how much time was left in the fight.

Which is not something that he should be considering even if he did know.
