Soriano, I was going to wait until you said 'kiss the canvass' one more time, since you're not quite as bad of a troll as Harrison, but you're still pretty much a really severe *******, so I went ahead and returned the favor.

It's funny that Harrison has said 'kiss the canvass' approximately 678,000 times and STILL can't spell it right ;)

the same reason why pac almost dropped out of the fight with hatton. self-respect. he'd rather take less money from somewhere than accept more money and a smaller purse compared to pac.

Pac fans need an excuse?, for what?

Are you idiots like obessed with bull**** theories like certain fighters are scared of others?, and this is directed to Pacquiao who already fought JMM TWICE. Why the hell would he be avoiding him?!

Pac already gave him the green light, if JMM wants it he might as well ove up in weight and he will get it.

so who brings more money, the brits or the fil-ams like us who pay for the PPV.
P.I. doesnt have PPV and abs-cbn or gma tv have a lump sum for pac with 12 minutes commercials.

it goes both ways. pac being the pound per pound # 1 deserves more respect and the other guy wont give in because he got more followings.

in pac jmm, pac got MAB and fresh into his stardom. he got pinoy backings in here. jmm stock went up only because of draw with pac. he got nothing, it is only pac in his resume. look at jmm before without his fight with MAB, CASA and diaz... not much, right?

the proverbial thin line that separates self respect and stupidity. And pare, your analogy with respect to the amount of money involved missed by a mile but I agree with the self respect analogy.

i didnt say it wasnt stupid because it was. it hurt jmm's career terribly. all that pac has now, jmm could have is he only swallowed his pride, took the fight and beat pac. i just said this because it was being insinuated that jmm ducked pac to fight john, which was clearly not the case. the two have fought twice and this just means that they are not ducking each other.

the thing is jmm though he performed well against pac and therefore demanded a purse similar to pac's. he stongly believed this and so he went on and fought john when it was clear that he wont be getting anything near what pac was getting

I take that more as stupidity not only on Marquez but more on his manager. Fighting John at $30K compared to $750K w/ Pac was not a smart decision which he found out later when he lost. Didn't he eventually agree to a mere 30% of the purse in their second fight? What gives?

got your point thunder.... but the thing is even though he performed well it was only pac in his resume. pac got marco already and in the pound per pound in his break out year. of course pac had to act as the man. jmms principle is there but it is a stupid mistake. he is not into stardom yet.look at pac-em. pac got the smaller amount the first time, little bit less the second time and once he won the 2nd, he asked for more and got it. lot of factors contributes to this money thing. but bottomline, jmm had only pac.

because pac won bigger fights and was a considerably a bigger name in their second meeting. pac and jmm both lost in that stretch but pac avenged his loss twice against morales and jmm never did and only won against questionable competition.

yes, it was an incredibly stupid decision.

anyway, i think we are sorely off topic here. i reread the posts and the thread-starter referred to ring smarts, but then our friend harrison here decided to include the chris john stuff because it wasnt "smart".

ring smart and smart in general are obviously different. so i think we should drop this topic
