JMM over Diaz. The pac - De La Hoya fight turned out to be a highly uncompetitive bout with Pac just betaing up on an old man. JMM - Diaz was a great win for Marquez as he faced a top young hungry fighter and disposed of him with a spectacular KO. So he fended off a better challenge therefore he had the better, more impressive win.

I think they're about even, when you balance everything out. I thought both fights were perfect examples of why these two are pfp 1 and 2. It was a perfect showcase of Pacquiao becoming the complete package of an offensive machine. It was a perfect example of JMM's ability to out-think, adapt, counterpunch, and combination punch his oppenent.

I will say that I think the Diaz win will mean more in time as I think Diaz will go places. He gave JMM almost life and death in there.

I guess it depends on what terms you are judging the fights on: Pac over DLH was an historic event, and he moved up two weight classes to do it. But JMM's fight turned out to be the more competitive and was more of a battle of talent and skill.

Personally I'd have to go for Pac over DLH, because that's the one people will be talking about for a long, long time. It was history.

JMM over Diaz: good fight, and a master display by an ATG, but ultimately he was favourite going into the fight. On the other hand, Pac was the massive underdog and shocked the world.

I like how some people try to start a fallacy, the fallacy gains ground with a fighter's detractors and until it snowballs to become a full pledged myth trying to be passed off as fact. :yep

De la Hoya THREW 402 punches landing 21%. That an avarage of 50 punches per round which isn't a bad clip for 8 rounds.

Against Floyd, Oscar threw 587 also landing 21% but that was for 12 rounds with an average clip just slightly lower than with Pac. Just about the same really. Again for the whole stretch against Floyd, Oscar landed about 82 power shots. He landed 83 against pac! That more power punches per round landed on Manny again because it went only as far as the 8th.

Like Floyd, Pac did his job on defense with Floyd only doing a slightly better job of avoiding power punches. It's what they did on OFFENSE that we have two contrasting outcomes because Pac brought his full arsenal to bear. :deal

I remember the arguments raised before the fight stating how Forbes was naturally bigger and tougher than Pac and would've beaten him as well. I won't be surprised if some people would stick with that notion today. :yep Pac never gets the credit he deserves.

In terms of the DLH fight, this is certainly true. Pac's skills destroyed DLH. But people tend to focus more on DLH in that fight without crediting Pac with what was really a masterpiece.

Sad but true. De la Hoya really had no real reason to lose to a midget unless people were seriously underestimating the small guy and indeed a lot of people did. Oscar got outspeeded, outworked and outboxed just like with Floyd but got outgunned a lot worse with Manny.

Just like in a lot of the biggest fights of his career, he came up short.

Many months after the fight if you picked PAC to win you will be HUMILIATED for thinking that PAC will ever win this fight!

If you picked JMM to win it was generally ok and you will not be labelled anythng.

From the start, I already said Juan Diaz is a product of "Hype" and will be exposed again! People forgot that prior to fight the Baby Bull already lost to PAPA Nate..

Maybe if PAC tried to look he was having TOUGH TIME, they would not give the SHOT,WEIGHT DRAINED, and OLD EXCUSES!

That dude dominated Oscar because of his skill, speed and relentlessness.

Only those people giving excuses will not pick Pacquiao over Hoya.

It's not Pac's fault that Hoya came or made him look like that(well you can argue about this one how Pac's skill overcome dela hoya). Did Pac told Hoya to come shot and weight drained? Did Hoya actually followed Roach what he was saying to him? Didn't all of you and those so called experts pick Hoya to oblitirate Pacquiao whatever happens?

Maybe Pac should give his opponents free shot all the time so it would look more competitive right?

lol LMaoooo :rofl so many pac haters here who can't accept that pacman is just that damn good. He makes a lot of very good fighter looks old.

Barrera-MArquez fight-Barrera did not look shot at all in that fight. Knocking down marquez in the 7th and giving him a good fight.

Pacman dominated him and all of a sudden barrera is shot :rofl
