Why does hatton think he is fighting for the p4p title

Hatton wants to fight Juan Marquez next,if he beats Pacquiao,so, if he beats JMM would he then be p4p no1 by everyone on here?Should be shouldn`t he.

how's hopkins slipped into the p4p rankings with hatton (who doesn't belong there anyway) jmm and pacman? b-hops light heavy! but nah hatton would have to beat pac, jmm and maybe even juan diaz too before he could call himself p4p number 1 and that aint gonna happen. though knowing hatton he probably already thinks he is number 1 already. but yeah i agree with boyd, i guess that check hook was harder than it looked!

 

If he does win that would be a great accomplishment. Hatton is great. He fights against the odds. Mayweather fights when the odds are in his favor. Hatton is a throwback to guys like Hearns and Hagler and Duran and Leonard.

I agree completely that talk of being P4P no 1 by beating Pac is pretty ignorant, especially considering its coming from Hatton and not some know nothing fanboy. I also agree that he does seem to believe it and it's not just promotion.

I dont remember Ruiz claiming he was fighting for the P4P title when he faced RJJ! (and yes I am being facetious)

 

i think that people call pacman the p4p number 1, that is a title in the same way that hatton has the title of the number 1 light welterweight. hatton aint the wbc,wbo,ibf or wba champ.but still hes the best lww.
i see it like this: pac is number 1. so that means hes better than anybody else in the p4p list. so should hatton beat the pacman, then hatton is better than pacman. but pacman is still better than everybody else in the list other than hatton. so therefore hatton would be number 1, and pac number 2.
