I mean, even a bona fide light welter would do. I hope Marquez beats him up.

I don't think the fight will happen.

Pacquiao is a bigger payday, so is (ugh) a Hatton rematch.

In addition to money, a Marquez fight doesn't seem like the type of event that an attention ***** like PBF would crave.

mayweather isn't a natural welter himself. He's been fighting bigger guys for years

If it happens at 140 then I would be interested. At 147 it would be pretty much a joke though. JMM has only been at 135 for 2 fights and he is a former FW. This isn't a 35 or 36 year old Oscar we are talking about either. This is an ATG close to his prime if he is not still in it.

What bollocks. JMM was a champ at 126 and Floyd a champ at 130. What is wrong with that fight? Floyd is considered bigger because he is good enough to have faced and beaten men the size of Gatti, DLH and Baldo. Floyd v JM at 139 would be sick. Just a little less than 140 so psychologically people don't think Floyds picking on him by making him go 5 pound north. Floyd can then face the Pac v Hatton winner at 140.

Because he is not a true ATG. He does not have the mentality of a warrior like Holyfield, Toney, Chavez...

The guy is too proud to lose the O in his record. Nobody cares if he is unbeaten. What counts who he has fought and beaten.

Floyd has always been the smaller in his fights with the exception of Hatton.

There is a lot wrong with that fight. PBF has been fighting at welterweight since quite a time now and Marquez has not.

Despite having fought at welterweight since quite a time, he has not face an elite welterweight. Cotto, Mosley, Williams, Maragrito are the guys he should face.

Mayweather is a p*ssy fighting smaller guys.
Lol he won't even leave his own country and come fight in europe.
It really has damaged his career.

Why do people think Mayweather would even bother giving Marquez a fight? It's not that he's ducking. He is retired. And only way does Mayweather fight's Marquez if Marquez can do 1million PPV and Mayweather having a 99-1 split.
