I think you're just hating the guy too much. May 2nd is like one of the biggest fights for a while, the promoters are busy setting things up for both camps and the media, so Roach and Mayweather are obliged to talk. When the media sticks a mic in your face and ask for an interview, What's he suppose to say? " no i can't because Blue145 will think im a media attention seeking *****". Come on man.
Being a legendary fighter means more than being undefeated. You have to have legendary fights against legendary fighters. Besides Corrales, who on Floyds resume really fits the bill? Castillo? Not really. DLH? Thats debateable, especially the version of Oscar that Floyd fought. Hatton could wind up being a legend, but i'm not sure if that'll happen for sure. Now Ray Leonard, Wilfred Benitez, Tommy Hearns, and Roberto Duran are legendary fighters that had legendary fights against one another. Same with Ali, Frazier and Foreman. Floyd never had a real thrilling come from behind fight, or had a two or three fight back and forth with anyone. Thats how legends are made. It could be to Floyds credit that he did win all his fights relatively easily, or maybe good matchmaking and avoidence of certain guys ? Floyd had a good career, a successful career. But legendary? Nope.
Hating PBF is such a reflex for you your stupid ass didn't even realize this thread is about Roach's statement regarding Mayweather Sr.
Neither Hatton or Pac are very big talkers. I just think Roach is trying to hype the fight. You don't wanna hear him talk? Don't listen.
