Khan has a ton of talent, Barrara may be fading but will put up a good fight, I have no doubt Khan can become world class. However he is being led down the wrong path by FW and is being overhyped

I like Roachs point of view!

And perhaps he has a point....Barrera is past his best at this point and fighting in a weight class will above that he is naturally accustomed to....Khan IMO should be winning this fight given his size and youth advantages if he is to have any hopes of making noise on the World stage.

If he doesn't, then there's only so far he can and will go in such a deep division.

Roach is 99% sure Khan will win, that's why he said that. Roach said that if Pacman did not beat ODH than Manny did not have to pay him for that fight. It's just the way he is.

khans main weakness is his chin, so how would moving him up in weight to one of the most competitive weight classes help??:patsch

De La Hoyas punch resistance improved when he filled out. So did Tommy Hearns, so did Manny Pacuiaonnojnon..... I wouldn't completely discount the idea that Khan would take a better shot at a higher weight.

Hearns learnt to hold as he went up in weight. He used to get wobbled in every fight at middleweight.

Khan looks ****ed at Lightweight so a move up in weight would be an ok idea but he has always had a bad chin, even when he could make the weight limit with ease plus he has his not too great defence to put up with. I think even with a move up to 140 he will do a chicken dance when tagged by a fighter with a good punch.

He was 140 when Watson dropped him... but that was a good shot from a big puncher and he got up to win..

I like Watson but he is not in the class of the top 140 fighters. Khans chin may improve with a move up but it will still be pretty damm bad plus we do not know how he will deal with a top class opponent. The only time he has faced an half ranked fighter he lost in a very explosice fashion. The guy has talent and hopefully he gets success but it may come the way of avoid all hard tests and beating up on OAP's.

I agree that if he filled out more he could take a better shot, but also more likely to get hit harder, swings and round abouts really!!

I just hope he is very successful at whatever weight, but sat night with jmm and diaz showed how he is miles away from that!!

But time is on his side!!!!

This means this could be Khans retirement fight! On the other hand we dont know how much Barrera has left I mean its all speculation and some efforts to discredit Khan should he win. But based on fights with Marquez and Manny I'd say Barrera is still a top fighter.
Also, didnt a 35 yr old Marquez move up in weight and beat a 25 yr old fighter in Diaz. Didnt Mosely at 37 who everyone thought is shot beat a much younger Margarito. Campbell is 36 too...
