Lewis - Holyfield was a clear robbery, LL was better that night and everybody saw that - except the judges and those who earned some $$$ on it.
I had Hearns Leonard level, so even if i had it close for Lennox, for me he still won and the other fight i had level,
Eugenia Williams should never be allowed to judge another important boxing match. She's the real culprit who shafted Lennox Lewis out of the decision. I still believe Ali vs Norton III is just as much of a robbery as Lewis vs Holyfield I. After all these years, I still can't count enough rounds that Ali won. Delahoya vs Quartey was a robbery as well. I don't care what anyone says, Quartey kicked Oscar's butt around the ring and dominated that fight with his jab and right hand. If that fight was in an non-US arena, Quartey probably gets the nod.
He probably claims that during the 5th, the fighters had their backs to the camera so he couldn't see.
Judges are humans and their opinions can lead to what many consider errors..... I thought the fight was close enough for a draw to be in play, all be it on the extreme. What I would dislike if I was from the USA, is the thought that my tax dollars were wasted on an investigation. These things happen in boxing, that is part of what made this sport fun, and is why we can still have tons and tons of threads about a very ordinary fight, where neither fighter gave it their best; Lewis being to cautious; Holyfield having too many miles on the clock.
Holyfield Lewis by far. Leonard had a couple of possible 10-8 rounds so the knock downs are potentially nullified and the rest of the fight was pretty so so for mine, so i can accept a draw. Holy offered next to nothing against a dominant Lewis
