Calzaghe could easily have had this fight, but chose to slip into retirement and not take the risk. Why? Because it would've been a Hopkins UD. :bbb
Calzaghe's workrate is too much, if Hopkins did what he did in the 1st fight then Joe would win and even if he opened up and threw power punches Joe would tag him even more.
and what happens if it's a wider margin on Cal's side... is Hop shot? is Cal a cherry picker? what excuses will you assholes throw at them?
its not the simple my friend boxing isnt just black and white go and watch the first 7 or so rounds when bernard actually threw in combinations inside calzaghe couldnt get off and never countered once. Bernard was offsetting his rhythm
Agreed, plus the knockdown was a flash knockdown that Calzaghe is prone to at times because he likes to square up and flurry instead of remaining in a defensive position. Calzaghe edges another points win against Bernard the second time around. This time, a UD in all likelihood.
Calzaghe wins this. But it would be another snooze-fest. Maybe they should join WWE because there was more wrestling in their fight than boxing. An awful match-up.
Throw out the flash knockdown in the 1st and Calzaghe had a pretty easy time of it. BHop did give him a better fight than I thought he would though.
:huh people must of forgot how bhop got out worked out punched and was hugging joe all night like his long lost love calzaghe ud again :good
Hopkins will counter all night and eventually start running again, and faking low blows and the same ****. He had his chance and he chose not to fight.
It's already been done, :deal the fight wasn't even that good anyways, Hopkins fought a shitty fight and is older now, whats the point??:nut BTW Calzaghe is done.................:yep
Well that definitely wouldnt happen. Calzaghe winning a ud, yea i could see that. But imo hopkins takes the second bout in a tough but clear ud. It wont happen though
Hopkins had his chance but he decided to fight like John Ruiz and he lost. He was more concerned with grabbing, clinching, and holding than throwing punches. Hopkins has nobody to blame but himself.
