Pac may have realized that it is easier to beat Marquez than Cotto for his last fight. I agree w/ him for choosing this fight to bring closure.
Watch the vid carefully. The down was caused by a low blow. 2nd vid; he lose because he was weight drained. Seriously... those loses were from Pac was teen. He ate once a day and worked alot
Pacquiao/Marquez is arguably the best rivalry in boxing this generation. Both fighters are equally great and their styles are tailor-made for each other. A third fight between this two will undoubtedly be ATG fight. Awesome avatar. :good
Oh and when was JMM prime? Against John? Against Juarez?. Nah, you just using that so that you have another ammo to hate on Pac. You don't have SINGLE evidence on how JMM is past his prime now. All you have is his age which don't mean two shits and only someone who has low knowledge of boxing would use. He won his last 2 fights emphatically against quality opposition, yet you sit there and say he's not prime? Give me a ****ing break. atsch
a green pac gives marquez all he can handle and a draw in the first fight. an improved pac wins a ud in the second fight. see where im going with this?
Only someone with 'low boxing knowledge' would make a ridiculous statement like age doesn't matter. How many 50 yo FW champs are out there right now? How many 40 yo? How often do you see a 35 yo champ? That's right. Damn rare.
And how many wars did JMM have for him to be past prime? And this is after beating a young and hungry fighter EMPHATICALLY. As I said give me a break. You have nothing. B-hop was ****ing prime when he was in his mid-30's. Although I'm pretty sure you didn't know that. Nothing but hate. Go have milk with the ****ing *******s/Marquez haters. :deal
lol I was actually a boxing fan and posting on boxing boards while B Hop was still middleweight champ. Were you? Hops wasn't anywhere near physically prime in his mid-30's. He was MENTALLY prime, and since he's a very special fighter and a freak of nature physically, he's been able to carry on. How many other 43 yo MW and cruiserweight champs can you find? How many other 43 yo champs PERIOD besides Foreman? The exception proves the rule my friend, there's a reason why everyone is in awe of the fact that he performs so well FOR HIS AGE. It's because practically NOBODY else performs that well AT HIS AGE. ****. You think age doesn't matter, you genius? Why isn't Ali still champ?
Wtf is a physically prime and mentally prime? ******. Doesnt matter if he was one or the other. He was PRIME at that age because that was the time he kept winning and winning against quality opposition. Got it pea brain? Mentally and Physically prime. Ha! Laughable. And yeah B-Hop was an exception to the rule and that's why I used him because so is JMM. JMM peaked late. His defensive style early in his career helped him get to the highest levels of the sport at the age of 35. He had no long lasting wars that caused him to be past his prime now. So yes, hater. Age doesn't matter especially if your talking about a fighter who rarely had long lasting damage in his body when he was young. And then you bring up Ali in here like he has some relevance? How old is Ali now compared to JMM. How much damage did Ali took compared to JMM's? Your a ****ing joke.
Dam aint that the truth.:yep I think for his legacy, he should fight Funika while he waits for pacman. I wouldn't think it would happen though, Marquez doesn't want to fight someone so dangerous(he's 6 feet I think) to risk missing a fight with Pac. Marquez has done well since their last fight to make it a bigger fight, it up to pac now.
We don't know that JMM is an exception, and I think he showed signs of slowing down against Juan Diaz. The '****ing joke' is that you're trying to pretend that age doesn't matter in a fighter, just so you don't look like an idiot in this thread. The irony is that you're making yourself look like a bigger and bigger idiot the longer you try to defend your ridiculous post.
Let me spell it out even more simply for you, just in case. I know you're a ******* so I gotta make it real easy: A fighter's prime refers to his peak performance levels. Not what fights he has won lately, not what fights he has won in the past or might win in the future. 'Prime' in the boxing community, refers to that period in a fighters life, all too brief, when he is young enough to still have his full speed and reflexes and old enough to have his full strength. JMM is long past that period. He is NOT in his prime.
