Anybody getting tired of Freddy Roach mouthing off?

Great post.

He's a great trainer. But I don't wanna see a new quote from him every day and that is what it's been like these past few months.

 

In a word yes.I don't want to say anything bad about him because it could be a delicate subject involving illness etc.I loved Roger put him in his place on 24/7.He soon STFU

 

I like that rivalry between Roach and Floyd SR. - adds some more flava to the Pacquiao-Hatton bout

and I'm ****ing sick of the "we're better than Hatton, we'll knock him out" **** like as if its a handicap wrestling match.

 

Yeah its almost as if hes developed Tourettes now. (too soon?)

 

it aint nice and it gets repetitive yes, but it sells more ppvs

 

yeah i like roach the man is awesome at what he does ...but that dosn't exactly mean running his mouth

so he should just stick to what he's awesome at

lets get real .. he'll keep making his puns .. he'll keep calling people stupid .. and making his jokes .. then when someone says one thing about him ..

it'll all come out about how he's sick and people shouldn't take advantage of him ... he'll play that card

 

yeah, hes a pain, especially when the quotes he makes are neither remotely intellectual or entertaining...

 

I don't mind Freddie talking a little ****, its a change from him and I think he enjoyed it so much in his previous fight with De La Hoya, he decided to be less humble, he isn't being arrogant or too cocky it just makes things more entertaining.

 

I think it's smart. Arrogant loud mouths work in boxing, David Haye got a shot at the #1 HW because of it. It makes for more PPV buys and gives another rivalry on top of the actual fight, and 24/7 should be great.

 

trashtalking is in every game. It makes the fight more interesting. what do you freddy to say when a reporter comes up to him for an interview. "No Comment!!" come on. every once in a while your allowed to say whats in your head.

 

I'm not sure Roach will sell the PPV's,Hatton and Pacman have more than enough selling power but it sure makes the 24/7 series interesting.Especially since Floyd Snr is in the opposite corner same as Roger/Roach on the Floyd/Oscar 24/7 series.Don't know if this 24/7 will be all that good since it hasn't got the bad mouthing that the two Mayweather series' had,but it will certainly be better than Roy/Calzaghe

 

Freddie roach is just trying to help promote the fight. Pacman is not a trash talker so roach has to do some just to add excitement to the fight. Other trainers do it especially the mayweather brothers. Boxing has mind games too and if you can get through your opponent by talking trash and messed up his fight plan then so be it. :good

 

He gets asked a specific question, what's he supposed to do? Give an dishonest answer? And since his fighter has been in big fights of late, he WILL get a lot of press. if you don't like what he has to say, get over it or close your ****in eyes....
