I think the Mayweather Sr./Roach hate fest will be HBO 24/7's most entertaining and funny part.

C'mon, just looking at pictures of those two playing darts makes people laugh.

They're both kinda goofy and camera friendly, they're opinionated and they dislike each other. Love em or hate em, you keep on watching and listening to them.

It's gonna be one of the best parts of HBO 24/7, I bet.

Roach will give an interview to ANYBODY, seriously, even the crappiest of sites or youtube channels will get an interview with him. Hell I could probably get an interview. He's losing credibility fast. It happens with everyone: the more you talk, the less people listen.

Roach is a nice guy who was lucky enough to train Pac. Anybody could have seen the Pac had speed and power and all he needed was to refine his technical skills to be an elite fighter. He hasn't done this to any other fighter. He's overrated in my book.
Mayweather Sr. actually makes fighters better. He may be an ass, but he backs it up by having his fighters ready. You actually see refinements in his fighters.

Freddie did say that trainers are overrated, him included.

He said that all the credit should be given to the fighter, and said that he would not be at this stage of his life right now if it werent for the talents of all the boxers he helped prepare for fights. He said the fighters make him look good, and he's just there to help.

Honestly, I like Freddie. He brings entertainment to boxing.

Roach has been mouthing off ever since he started defending Pac in the media. Weird contrast to how he was before where everyone respected him as a strong and silent trainer. Now-a-days people are getting really irritated with him and his antics. Guy should just stick to training and leave the talking to the promoters and fighters.

    The Roach is beyond reproach!

I have no problem with talking if it's

    A) Backed up with action in the ring or by the prediction being correct

    or

    B) Crow is eaten when they're wrong.

Freddie doesn't bark off or talk like a 13 year old, he makes statements that he believes and most of the time he's been spot on!

If Hatton wins I'd give more credit to Mayweather (even though Hatton is a bigger fighter)
    Roach has the better athlete.

Freddie is a good trainer. I bolded the part where in you are trying to say that refining a fighter like Pacquiao is an easy thing. He just made him a better fighter just like what Floyd Sr does to some of this fighters.

Freddie lives in a building adjoining his gym, has parkinsons and either trains others or himself to maintain his health as best he can.

I can't see him throwing around 10K in the Spearmint Rhino...

I think he's a good trainer in that he doesnt have a "world famous" signature style that he forces into a fighter that he trains.

He just lets his fighter fight the way the guy normally fights, more or less. He just tweaks and adjusts on the little things and corrects the imperfections to improve the fighter's chances of winning.

Very basic stuff from him. Not complicated rocket science.

Pac is too nice to trash talk so Roach has to do it for him in order to hype his fights.
