Eh What? Basing from earlier Pac fights, I saw improvements in Pacman's overall game.

And what has Floyd Sr added to Chad Dawson, Guzman, Hatton and other fighters aside from Floyd Jr?

What I meant was he doesnt break down a certain fighter's original fighting style, and builds him up from scratch into his gym's "signature style".

If the guy's a natural boxer, they develop and adjust that style, and they stick to their strengths and where they are comfortable with.

He's not a dictator type where he's like "what I say is the best way, and the only way."

He said that if his fighter isnt comfortable with the tactics he's teaching, he's willing to listen to them for input and better ideas, and they both develop the gameplan where the boxer feels more at ease when he's fighting.

What he said is true to an extent. Some trainers refine their fighters and make them better. There is no doubt that Pac has gotten better training under Roach. He is a boxer-puncher now. He's adjusted well and has bought into what Roach has told him.

Hatton was better in his fight with Malignaggi than we have seen in years. We will see how much he has learned when he faces Pac.

Trainers do refine fighters and make them better. They help a fighter correct their mistakes and do the right things. They motivate. They teach the fighter to fight the style their body style allows to maximize their potential.
Roach is just trying to minimize Floyd Sr's accomplishments by diminishing a trainer's importance. He's knows how important a trainer is. You should too.

I heard him say that he he gives credit to Roger Mayweather for the development of Floyd Jr., and not Floyd Sr.

He gave credit to who he feels really developed the guy.

Pac is a big boy now and doesn't need anyone doing his trash talking for him. Roach doing all this talk for Manny makes him look like an overprotective mother standing up for her little boy.

Roach needs to move aside sometimes and let Manny do his thing and defend his own self.

Manny wont do it. i was actually surprised he had a dart match with Hatton and was hugging the guy and being all nice to each other. I doubt Manny will start trash talking if he hasnt done it all these years

Well then that's just fine. Trash talking is such fabricated fake bull**** in boxing anyway. You don't need to talk trash to make it in this game. Someone should tell that to Roach.

That he did, but he also discredited trainers as not being that important, also.

I think it had more to do with the questions of the reporter.

I believe the reporter asked something like..

"So, Freddie, now that we have 2 of the most popular fighters in the world fighting for supremacy, is this also a fight to find out who's really the best boxing trainer in the planet?"

Then he answered "No". And said that people overrate trainers too much sometimes.

    That's Tourette's Syndrome.

Parkinson's gradually degrades his motor skills, so they have uncontrollable shakes.

Let him talk, what's wrong with him talking?

He has produced one of the greatest if not THE greatest fighter of this generation, he has every right to mouth off. As far as mouthing off now is concerned, Floyd Sr. is doing it too and it's just promoting the fight better.

Just incase you missed it, Roach mouthed off before BOTH Barrera fights and before ALL Morales fights too, it just adds spice to known great upcoming fights, no harm done.
