Is beating Juan Diaz reason enough for a boxer to be crowned P4P #1?

We are talking about p4p here okay, It is not something you earn, it is something you just are, or not. A judges scorecard has zero relevance to who you believe is p4p number one. It's how you judge a fighter and how you envision him doing against every other boxer in the sport if everyone was the same size. Why do the majority of people seem to have no idea what pound for pound actually means?

Keep thinkin that ****..u MIGHT WANNA CHECK THE LB4LB RANKINGS CUZ PAC IS #1..

WHAT UR SAYING IS THAT TOM MILLER OR DUANE FORD (THE 2 JUDGES THAT SCORED IT FOR PAC VERY CLOSE THAT NIGHT) ARE CORRUPT JUDGES RIGHT??? WHEN FLOYD RETIRED HE WENT FROM 2 TO 1 FOR A REASON...JMM WAS A TOUGH OPPONENT AND THE FIGHT COULDA BEEN SCORED EITHER WAY BUT PAC GOT IT...AND QUIT SAYIN I LIKE PAC CUZ IM NOT A BIG FAN OF HIS AT ALL..U PROLLY HAVE NEVER EVEN STEPPED FOOT INTO A RING..I TRAIN DAILY SO GET OFF THIS MUH FU34A AND QUIT POSTING A DAY LATER...GOIN TO SLEEP WONDERING IF IVE POSTED SOMETHIN N $HIT MUH FU34A......

I thought JMM beat Pac by close decision in their second fight and since then JMM has beaten the better comp, as oppsed to Pac who beat the weakest champion at 135 and then a win over a semi retired DLH.

If Pac beats Hatton then i think he should be numero uno.

    KCD,

You must have overlooked. JMM fought casa on his twilight of his career! CASA hardly proved he was better than sta. cruz. See the fight yourself and get back to me if you really believe casa is better than sta. cruz..

Juan Diaz, was already exposed by good ol' Papa Nate. JMM just confirmed that Juan is nothing but a a product of Hype! :hey

    cheers!

If it was the exact same fight but the decision went the other way then what does that have to do with pound for pound? They both fought the exact same fight so you'd predict exactly the same results if they went to other weight divisions.... What don't you understand?

Beating chubby bull does prove young guns are a disgrace. old bucks beat ya'll up, Amir Khant beat Barrera, Kantsidis Casa. Pav V BHOP. Mosley V MArgcheato. Quality of the youngsters are B class. Props to the senior citizens.

    Hell yeah !!

Diaz only had one loss on his resume and before then he had 3 of 4 major belts out of the lightweight division and was the #1 rated lightweight in the world.

That puts Diaz leagues above David Diaz, who was just the sacraficial lamb for Pacquiao ... and who hadn't beat any elite lightweight fighter despite being a champion.

I'm not saying that Marquez should be number #1 but the fact that he knocked out 2 lightweight champions and has accomplished more at lightweight than Pacquiao has - makes for a good argument.
