First week in March and we still have no announcement about Mikkel Kessler's next fight/opponent. Is it Larsen? Is it Perdomo? In any case, Kessler won't be fighting earlier than mid-May - a world title fight needs to be signed and dusted 8 weeks in advance! That means Mikkel'll only be fighting twice this year: Perdomo and Larsen.:-( Any news? :think Please post in this thread...and bumb often. :good

Wish they would put together a match against a decent opponent so we can start to figure out where Kessler belongs in the top 10 at 168
If Bute and Taylor remain unbeaten at 168 lbs by the end of the year, Kessler will have to prove it in 2010, no doubt about it.
I think w/o a showing against a top-ten guy soon he should start to slip, as he basically is number 1 by default for losing closely to Calzaghe. The argument could even be made that he shouldn't be 1 based on not fighting a quality opponent in a long time.
