Nope. I mean post Simon. There a reason Arum isn't floating trial names out there and we haven't heard anything? Wait till after the AA/LS fight and start negotiations with AA? :think

I was speaking of post Simon as well, but why wait? Simon struggled with Carl Daniels, and his last opponent was one of Bronco McKart's left overs. The outcome of Abraham/Simon is a foregone conclusion.

If Arum wants Abraham next, he won't talk about it until after the fight though. Just trying to put the best spin on 'no news'.

The "no news" is frustrating. Tom Tocca is a reliable source, and a couple other posters said they saw the same interview. I was out of town for 4 days. I expected to see some new developments, BUT NO, the Bob Father is starting to **** me off!

With Pac/Hatton in early May, I have a feeling this plays into the overall scheme of what will happen with HBO. I have NO clue as to how the PPV did for the Pavlik/Cotto dual site card. "The Q" will have a better gate potential than the bout, but ...... Put I think the Pac/Hatton will kill HBO's appetite for a title fight between Pavlik/Abraham in May/June.

June: Pavlik/Karmazin and Abraham/Lorenzo in Cleveland.

September: Pavlik KO8 Abraham at Boardwalk Hall.

December: Pavlik KO10 Winky in Vegas!

That's the right way to do 2009.

Yes, that would create the star power to pull big numbers on PPV for the rest of KP's career.

Yep. Long-term it is the better thing to do, asssuming Pavlik wins those. Regardless, whoever comes out of this on top will be a star, and probably not just in the boxing world.

At the post fight presser, Pavlik said Sturm wouldn't even consider fighting him, but Arum claimed in seemed more likely than AA. So, let's not count that out yet.

He couldn't even land a flush shot on Hopkins. How the hell is he gonna KO a guy who's defense is on the same level as Hopkins?

I disagree with the KO part too, but Winky and Hopkins have very different defenses. My guess on fighting Winky is to batter the arms till they drop and just do his thing--keep coming forward. Worked decently for JT, just do it better than he did, which PAvlik can do.

I'm sure Winky Wright will give Pavlik a tough fight, but I would hardly call him a "bonecrusher."

Well, he claims to have landed ONE flush shot on him. But, let's humor you and come up with a scenario. Avoid getting whacked in the arm while sparring in training camp and not get bronchitis days before the fight and loading up on anti-biotics for starters. And since when has Winky had the power in his shots to keep Pavlik honest. Pavlik just spent 9 rounds practicing against a defensive minded fighter in Rubio, whacking away at the body while he had his guard up and Rubio probably has more punching power than Winky.
