I agree. As far as what I have read it is just like you said. Hopkins would prefer as JC rematch more, as that fight apparently hurt his ego, then if he can't have that he wants to fight Adamek. I think the latter is more likely, and would take place like you said sometime in the summer. As far as Cunningham, I too think the second fight will be more difficult for Adamek. He will have to neutralize Cunninghams jab, and be a little more active to win rounds. Otherwise Cunningham will just pot-shot his way through winning rounds. Adamek, though cut off the ring effectively, and Cunningham will also respect Adameks power going into this fight. Also knowing you strongest punch doesnt even make your opponent blink has to hurt a little too.
He blinked in the 4th round. I still don't know for sure whether Adamek was genuinely hurt there or whether he was covering up, bending and getting away to avoid more combos coming his way. The legs should tell the story. Cunningham's punches do look pretty snappy though.
There is no doubt Adamek was at least a little hurt. But that came from a combination and accumulation of hardshots. I was thinking more along the lines of just one shot. Like that right hand that landed in I forget what round, but it was brutal and Adamek made it seem like nothing even happened.
If he survived Banks' shot in the 8th (probably hardest single shot he ever received) with little trouble, he should be just swell with Steve's. I think Adamek is at his best (i.e, opens up a lot more) when he's a little buzzed. Most of his recent KO's/knockdowns came almost immediately after receiving a big punch. How this translates to winning over Hopkins, I do not know. :conf I hope Adamek doesn't pull a Pavlik against the old geezer. He should definitely watch the Pavlik tapes as an example of what not to do against Hopkins. Adamek's precision at the expense of volume worries me the most against a fighter like Hops.
Although I don't know what type of fight Adamek should fight against Hopkins, Adamek is a well schooled and disciplined boxer, and he has a great/smart trainer. This alone gives me the ease of mind that he won't go in there without a clue what to do, or without a plan B. I am sure they will come up with at least a decent game plan against Hopkins should the fight happen. Probably multiple game plans. Even in the Banks fight, Adamek had to adjust and change, because Banks style surprised them a little. I guarentee they will watch and analyze a few Hopkins fights, including the Pavlik one.. I hope anyways. Adamek is no Pavlik.

[yt]faOG8OEjJ9Q[/yt] What strategy do you guys think would best work for Adamek in a Hopkins fight? I think Adamek needs to tire him out, then crank up the pressure in the later rounds. He needs to take his attributes away, and be able to utilize and capitalise on his own... obviously. Hopkins will be heavier, probably a little slower, with worse stamina in this fight, especially for a 44 year old man. But then again we can't bet everything on that either, cause it might just not be the case. But Adamek is the bigger man. If he can clinch and lean all over him, make it ugly, frustrate him, go to the body in the beginning of the fight, then change strategies and crank up the pressure in the later rounds.. I don't know. We don't know what Hopkins will be like at this weight, but that fact is he is still very dangerous. A good game plan will be vital.. along with a plan B and maybe even a plan C. This is going to be a hell of a fight.
According to boxer.org Sauerland events say they recieved a proposal from Adamek camp about a bout for the CW IBF belt with Enada Liciny (16-1, 10 KO) Possibly scare tactic to hurry Hopkins maybe? :think I would think team Adamek would much prefer a showdown against Hopkins, no?
Did you guys ever heard abot alexy kuziemski? just watching his fight for eba europe championschip and hes looking quite well , but only 3 ko from like 18 fights , no loss
o , and he just won by ko , hes also in top 10 wb(c,a,o) und ibf, but hes from that gay german universum crew
turbina--I think Adamek needs to watch the Taylor vs Hopkins fights. He definitely needs to get in Hops' face, not let him circle, and throw combo after combo. Don't let up. Cut the ring off like he did to Banks, but let his hands go. Against Hops, he can't be wary of taking one to land one (like he needs to against the Cruisers, who are all bigger than he is). Besides letting his hands go, he needs to work the body early. This will be vital in slowing down the old man. Lastly, he needs to use his world class jab, fom round 1 to round 12. This alone will win him some rounds. After 4 rounds, Tomasz needs to crank up the pace, to the most furious one he's ever fought at. Adamek can do it, but it will be tough. A KO should not be his plan.
Seems like a pretty good plan. One thing you mentioned is Adamek needs to stay extra busy in this fight, and I agree. But can he really keep that kind of a pace up for 12 rounds? He was pretty busy and kept up a great pace in the Briggs fights, and got somewhat of a second wind in the Dawson fight. But in the Cunningham fight he seemed to start fading towards the end... the only fight that went the distance for him at CW. He will need to do better then that I think. That I guess is why it is important that he goes to Hopkins body, and tries to tire him out. No doubt Adamek will be the bigger stronger fighter. He needs to implement his size. Hopkins is strong, but I don't think he can muscle Adamek around, not at CW. But I guess we will see.
Have you guys seen this site? All kinds of Adamek photos. The site name was on the back of TA's trunks. http://ochikara.pl/ :!:
