I thought the same except a bit more fluid and agile.

It's because they both hold their hands up, sit down on their shots and dig the body hard.

Agree with Hatton, he looks like he's had way more than 2 pro fights. His jab looks like it'll be a very dangerous weapon and he has every punch in the book.

Martin Murray of Prizefighter fame is up next.

darren and his trainers plan was to hold back on his shots for the first 2 rounds as they are fearful of the ref stoping it too soon and only getting one round in, i agree that it should of been let go on

if that was holding back then i don't want to see what letting go is.

    Really good performance from Sutherland.

He sat down on his punches, took his time and got the stoppage (ref may have been a bit premature in jumping in though).

Its nice to see one of the Olympians that can actually go on the back foot (as Sutherland did for the most part, letting the opponent come onto him) and still look good doing it.

He also has a varied arsenal of weapons at his disposal; very important for the differing style match-ups he will encounter in the future.

Its only two fights, but he looks the goods so far.

I thought he looked good in his debut, but he did get caught too much for my liking. However, in this fight he was just about punch-perfect for a newcomer. He seemed relaxed and just took his time.

    Well done Darren:good

He's got that Cotto look.... his defence is a little leaky. I don't think he'll be as good on the back foot. I really like him though. He looks a cert for championship class.

I don't think his defence is that leaky. He is getting caught with poor quality 'throw and hope they land' shots. He is getting caught with them because he is going into the Lions Den to try and get the finish and he does that from the bell.

If he was in a 12 rounder I think he and his opponent would be more patient and be able to gauge incoming shots much better.

Sutherland is still fighting at the amateur speed. This is why I am intrigued to see if he can fight like that over 12. I'd be mighty impressed if he could. He wasn't breathing hard in the interview.

Possibly he seemed a little open to the right cross... Its nit picking really. At this level you can't tell too much. The opposition for the olympians, collectively has been shocking.
