    ok seriously,
it's keeping me away from having some decent conversations on these boards nowadays...it seems like everybody is racist at the end of the day. but lets be honest here, it does have a lot to do with boxing, and any other sport for that matter.
i mean, there wouldn't be any olympic games if it wasn't for that.

anyways, everytime i start something here, many use the race card against me and a possible good thread ends up in a hate bash and names being called.

so lets reverse the role a bit and focus on the positives of it, and ask yourself, what would boxing be without it ? do you root for your kind when they're fighting somebody you dont know ? do you always root for your kind regardless ?
is it normal to feel the way we feel about our fighters ? is it racist ?

just recently, somebody wanted me banned (about 20 minutes ago), and i started asking myself a lot of questions about myself.....

Depends on the person I guess. To some people it means a lot to others it doesn't mean much. I really don't care about all that, I just want to see good scraps.

when I talk boxing race has absolutely zero to do with it since my race totally sucks at boxing and has zero quality fighters.

It's normal to support your fighter but you have to embrace respect to his opponent regardless the outcoming of the fight.

I for one love trash talk but others will tell you that's mostly racist but IMO it spices up a fight as an event - I need this to pump/hype myself up for a fight...

The more hard-core a fan you are, the less these things matter.

It depends on the poster. I in no way participate in this race/home country fighter B.S. Race & country has a lot to do with boxing though.

I can understand rooting for your guy. What I never understand is when people allow their bias to influence their predictions or analysis or scoring. I couldn't help but wonder how many of the UK posters that actually thought hatton had a chance against floyd would have thought the same if he was canadian. (not picking on hatton fans excusivly that's just the first example that came to mind)
